Morgan Wallen’s ‘One Thing at a Time’ Has Fifth-Biggest Streaming Week Ever for an Album (Updated)
The set's 36 songs have collectively generated 437 million on-demand official streams in the United States.

UPDATED (March 9): Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time has earned the fifth-largest streaming week ever in the U.S. for any album of any genre after its first six days of release, according to initial reports to data tracking firm Luminate (whose information powers Billboard’s weekly charts).
From One Thing at a Time’s release on March 3 through March 8, the set’s 36 songs have collectively generated 437 million on-demand official streams in the United States. There have only been four larger streaming weeks for an album, by total streams earned, and all were debut frames. Drake’s Scorpion leads the pack, as it collected 745.92 million clicks for its 25 tracks in the week ending July 5, 2018. Scorpion is followed by the opening weeks of Drake’s Certified Lover Boy (743.67 million for its 21 tracks, week ending Sept. 9, 2021), Taylor Swift’s Midnights (549.26 million for its 20 tracks across its standard and deluxe editions, week ending Oct. 27, 2022) and Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss (513.56 million for its 16 tracks, week ending Nov. 10, 2022).
One Thing at a Time surpasses the previous fifth-place record-holder for largest streaming week, the opening frame of Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V (433.02 million for its 23 tracks, week ending Oct. 4, 2018).
As reported earlier, One Thing at a Time already has the largest streaming week for any country album ever, as well as the biggest streaming week for any album of any genre in 2023. _
One Thing at a Time was released on March 3 via Big Loud/Mercury/Republic Records and is the follow-up to Wallen’s blockbuster effort Dangerous: The Double Album, released in January 2021. It spent 10 weeks atop the Billboard 200 chart and ranked at No. 6 on the most recently published, March 11-dated chart. It has spent 109 nonconsecutive weeks in the top 10, tied with The Sound of Music soundtrack for the second-most weeks in the top 10 in the list’s 67-year history. (The original cast recording of My Fair Lady holds the record for the most weeks in the top 10, with 173 weeks.)
Also, after its first six days of release, One Thing at a Time has earned over 448,000 equivalent album units. The last album to post a bigger week was the debut frame of Taylor Swift’s Midnights (1.578 million; week ending Oct. 27, 2022).
Luminate’s current tracking week ends at the close of business on Thursday, March 9. One Thing at a Time’s final first-week numbers are expected to be announced on Sunday, March 12, along with its debut position on the multimetric Billboard 200 albums chart (dated March 18). If One Thing at a Time debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, it will mark Wallen’s second chart-topping set, following Dangerous.
