isnt Morgan Wallen doing Scorpion type numbers at this point? There's probably a case to be made he's the #1 artist in the US now
his 2021 album outsold CLB and it looks like this new one is gonna be his biggest yet

Cause country fans actually love their music. They don’t listen to it for social points or cause of FOMO or any of that other non musical nonsense that fans of other genres need. Hell Morgan’s look/image/name/story ain’t nearly as megastar status worthy as the megastars he’s whooping on numbers wise
It also why when a country artist has that with the extra celeb bs on top of it like country Taylor Swift, they’re ridiculously OP commercially. It’s why Garth Brooks was putting up MJ and Beatles numbers without anyone who isn’t a country fan knowing one song by him

i think he hurt his legacy by not allowing his music on streaming services for so long. even now it's only on amazon music as an exclusive deal or something
even tho Garth was the king during his time i wouldn't be surprised if some names that were below him like Alan Jackson end up being more popular with all the future generations past that original time
