The point is that alot of music being created now are sub genres of rap and it's not just him

ok explain how any of the other big country artists charting now like Luke Combs or Zach Bryan or Bailey Zimmerman have anything to do with that then? if anything a lot of country popular now is embracing traditionalism compared to a decade or so ago.in the 2010s there were more hip hop influenced artists like luke bryan and s*** like that

Idk why you acting like it's not prevalent in country. You just said yourself the biggest act in country has rap songs and I'm almost positive that he has other songs that have elements of hip hop/rap

To be honest, I'd rather have the genre be musically strong and commercially weak than the other way around, so I'm not bothered by this. Maybe artists will stop chasing hits and focus on making solid albums again

No you’re right. Although I think it’s because nowadays to be a Top 5 selling artist you have to be versatile and tap into other genres in a musical way instead of as a gimmick. Morgan is the country version of Drake in a lot of ways.
