Morgan Wallen has sold more units than every rapper combined this year
so has Taylor I think
Yes and Rylo Rodriguez is currently ahead of both of them on Apple Music.
Once again, proving our point that streaming numbers aren’t a totally accurate metric of who’s the biggest
Morgan’s album is 36 songs long lmao, also it’s not just Apple Music Morgan dominating Amazon music too
man Pink Tape is 26 songs & completely flopping. God damn Folklore sold more than that this week. Young Thug's month old album with 2 Drake features didnt even sell 10k this week. Rap has been doing terribly this year

thats cause AM charts aren't based solely on streams tho, it's some weird algorithm

Pink tape had no staying power because it was mid, same with thug’s album. Thing is about Morgan is he made a hit with this album so it make ppl check out the whole album
hitsdailydouble.com/sales_plus_streaming check this, rap's basically on life support
and again cos people are twisting what i'm saying cos i'm dragging ur favs lmao
i'll reiterate: Beyonce is definitely bigger than Lil Baby (cos legacy) & touring is the holy grail. But the way a few of you guys look at streaming is weird as hell, I have a feeling it's literally just because you hate Drake fans and wanna just discredit all of that lmao
No because drake tours do great
Why do yall always wanna bring other artists into s***
This argument is a big example of why i don't like when you guys talk numbers because you can't form conclusions other than what the numbers present on the surface level.
We literally just had a big artist have an album (his best in some time) do well below his usual because the music wasn't the style that dominates streaming

Honestly Nevermind? :)

Wait wtf lmao that’s crazy
Honestly Nevermind? :)
Don't know why you wrote it like that but yeah. It's better than the tired raps he has spent the last half decade making but it didn't sell so he ain't doing it again
The "that style of music doesn't do well on streaming" argument is interesting, ive made that argument to defend albums in the past but like Morgan Wallen has made me rethink it all. That style of music wasn't popular at all before them, I don't even think anyone was selling 100k fw streaming with that, s*** even 50k?
Same with Migos&Future in 2015/2016, I'd say they were the ones that made trap music become super mainstream. I think you need artists to break those walls, it doesnt just randomly happen

Lol I was joking I thought you meant Post Malone's new album honestly
I like both a lot

He probably won't do it in full again because why venture out and make a project and drop the same one again
Drake could not care less about his experimental (to him) sound album selling less than what's he's known for

Nah this is nasty. You know damn well Drake if anybody actually helps the opposing arguments to your argument, but you called the armada cause you know they gon see “you hate Drake fans” and come in swinging at niggas with no second thought. Nobody even brought up Drake fans lmao. You said

Shaleirose or w/e talks about their dislike for Drake fans often lol
How does Drake help the opposing argument tho, he's just a weirdo with touring
He probably won't do it in full again because why venture out and make a project and drop the same one again

My brother he been making the same rap album yearly for some time let's keep 100 lol
From a financial standpoint sure but his legacy is tied to his sales which is why we continue to get locker room music from a 40 yr old

I have no problem with Drake fans in general, it’s only Drake fans on KTT2 specifically that seem to be super weird and antagonistic for whatever reason.
I’m a huge Drake fan myself, he’s my second favorite rapper, but his stans on this website specifically are so infuriating
He probably won't do it in full again because why venture out and make a project and drop the same one again

To refine and improve on a sound that HN laid a solid groundwork for
f***in ridiculous

When yall start rounding Drake age up in your arguments I know what I'm posting with lol
But his legacy is in no way tied to his sales
He did/does the numbers cause people connect to the music, they find it relatable
Yall turned the hip hop quotable into a negative connotation of "instagram caption" rap but wonder why Drake has the most streamed back catalog in the world, because the music sticks and always will

That’s because of a country boom in the streaming market, like somehow the demographic that listens to country switched to streaming in the last 4 years, same thing happened to Latin music. I expect this trend to keep going as streaming become more and more prevalent
