why cardi never capitalized on the massive hype she had after WAP and up is beyond me. early 2021 was the perfect window to drop her album and in the time since then, she's bordering on becoming a C-list artist.
Who is listening to a Cardi b album cover to cover in 2023?
Unless she somehow recreates the stream of hits she had for IOP, I don’t see it. And even then; the new girl excitement has worn off
To worried about nicki instead of focus on her own career
Nicki played it smart she can afford to not drop an album for another 5 years lmao cardi still on album 1 waiting for nicki to drop so she can finally drop album number 2
they sayin she was going to try and drop in November 😭
But either that will stil happen or its really pushed to spring/summer.
might be flop oty
Damn relax. Paint the town red wasn't hot initially now its #1
bit ironic some of these barbs look like they work in the same warehouse as this guy
Lmao I was gonna say.
Them stans forgot to look in the mirror

She's not bright. She scored back to back #1 hits with WAP and Up in 2020/2021 and that's after scoring a #1 hit in 2017 and two more in 2018.
She probably thought the hype would last forever and was getting gassed up by industry people telling her she can keep the momentum going by just dropping one-off features every now and then. The reality is that's delusional. She isn't a household name. She's got 1 album to her name and is an afterthought to most casual listeners.
Now, she has a string of underperforming songs to her name and she still isn't close to releasing her sophomore album. She might as well just focus on being an influencer or something.

releasing a song without a hook is actually insane too tbh
she god damn thought she was drake
lmaooo top 50 aint no way
dropping same week as olivia definitely hella brave but that's insane

Song might magically end up debuting a lot higher thanks to a boost in sales but I don't see it being a stable hit, which is probably what her label cares about.

She wanted a Truffle Butter moment 🤣

she did have CDs ready so it will probably be top 40 at least.
edit: it's getting heavy radio to
The charts have become so insanely unpredictable in the last few years. It's really weird

She’s afraid to have a sophomore slump because p**** rap overall doesn’t have longevity in music.

true, gonna have to see if it’s 2nd week let’s it bounce up since there’s probably gonna be 10 olivia rodrigo songs debuting above it
BILLIE GET OFF THE FLOOR
A little lower than I expected, but still good numbers nonetheless
Boycotting this album.
Really good numbers. SOUR debuted with 295k units.

Maybe, maybe not. We can't know for sure because he never did it and After Hours' pure sales figures are skewed because they were massively boosted by bundles in their first 4 weeks.
o-rod is here to stay
I'm happy for her. Even outside the numbers, her sophomore album is just as good, if not better than her debut album and she's set to go on arena tour soon, all less than 3 year after making her mainstream debut.
If I'm on her team, I'm having her tour extensively till the end of 2024 at least, so she's able to consolidate her fanbase and solidify herself as a decent live performer.

you bugging if you don't think he'd get atleast 100K pure sales, every album starting from bbtm he got over 100K+ in just sales alone

Well, hopefully, he has physicals ready to go with his next album.

He sold Dawn FM CDs the day the album out though? they just weren't shipped until 3 weeks later
he sold 30k the first week they shipped... are you saying that 70k people chose not to buy the CD because they'd have it 3 weeks late..? doesnt make sense
olivia did about 30% more streams than Dawn FM and AH too which is pretty nuts
