I knew of CLB's existence due to friends playing songs from it (mainly Way 2 Sexy ironically) and I knew of Chicago Freestyle but not DLDT. Other than Drake stuff I didn't know about the rise of New York Drill, Yeat, MMATBS, The Off-Season etc... and all the main things that happened in those years. I was still online though. You can be in your bubble super easily, for better and for worse.

Just wanted to listen to other stuff. Mostly listened to jazz and soul tbh. Also was going through a rough transformative period in my life. The only hip hop I listened to were the classics then. Took a break from listening to the new stuff basically.
