I also think he should spend the next several months racking up songwriting credits and repairing some of the relationships he’s publicly strained and fixing his PR. That Meg stuff opened the floodgates for his music to be over critiqued more than ever.

He’s had more chart success the first 3 years of this decade than he had the first 3 years of last decade. I’m not being defensive, you’re just painting things out to be more catastrophic than they are.

I’m willing to say this album isn’t being received by the mainstream as well as it could be and I even called it a misstep. And I like the album!
