speaking of rule changes, billboard finally did something about mass buying, really interested to see how much this effects BTS's album
next month
"Multiple Copies - Physical:
If a fan purchases up to 4 copies of a record, each copy is reported as an official sale. If a fan purchases 5 to 9 copies, this results in 4 charting album sales. Purchases of 10 or more albums constitutes a bulk sale, and none count towards the Billboard charts.
❗️IMPORTANT: Only 4 physical copies of a UPC may be reported PER CUSTOMER. Multiple orders by the same customer that add up to more than 4 copies purchased will not result in more than 4 copies reporting."

4 was the old rule its 1 per credit card now
Stuff like the push and drake beef in 2018 or the listening parties from ye last year
Kendrick announcement had a similar reaction tbh

If you think Kendrick announcing a brand new album after 5 years of silence didn’t draw as much attention as the Pusha T & Drake beef you’re delusional
did the carter v, legends never die or eternal atake announcements break ktt servers? this site doesn't move anything
No and I wouldn't say any of those announcements broke the internet either.
The bar for me on "breaking the internet" is probably the night Will Smith slapped Chris Rock. That broke the internet. Kendrick's announcement did not.

https://twitter.com/chartdata/status/1481051433923649538you're absolutely right, even better lol

You're delusional if you think that Kendrick sells 500k fw
It's 2022 not 2016/2017 anymore
Kendrick announcement had a similar reaction tbh
You're out your mind if you think Kendrick's announcement had even half the reaction Story of Adonis did

regardless of them "breaking the internet" those are 3 of the biggest streaming debuts ever. and kendrick's announcement was #1 trending on twitter after a few minutes, a far better indication for anticipation than ktt servers crashing
You're out your mind if you think Kendrick's announcement had even half the reaction Story of Adonis did
You had niggas going viral making memes out of kendricks announcement.

He’s easily doing 400-500K depending on if he has physicals that can ship first week and if he has a big single. You’re delusional if you think otherwise.
You had niggas going viral making memes out of kendricks announcement.
https://twitter.com/dejadehaan/status/1516119059456217099Exactly niggas was doing this for mad artists just because of Kendrick’s quote tweet

https://twitter.com/dejadehaan/status/1516119059456217099This only proves Rihanna's album is more anticipated than Kendrick's.
Idk why I'm arguing about this. I'm not trying to detract from Kendrick. I think MMatBS will do more streams per track than CLB did
Need a single to drop so I can give an accurate prediction though
DAMN had a smash hit in humble drop a week before
I think no single would be his best bet imo
This only proves Rihanna's album is more anticipated than Kendrick's.

Rihanna wasnt the only artist this was done for
You're out your mind if you think Kendrick's announcement had even half the reaction Story of Adonis did
Bro who the f*** actually cared about Story of Adidon besides KTT
That s*** was a Twitter trend for like a day and then everyone forgot

How the f*** does it prove that???
It was a meme, people were doing it for artists that haven’t dropped albums in a while.
And besides Kendrick’s announcement tweet has way more likes than that Rihanna tweet

this is delusional as f***
drake deleted story of adidon everywhere for weeks

Everyone made their memes the day of the diss and then it was over

I really hate that I'm breaking out the graphs...but here you can clearly see from Google Trends that interest in Pusha T peaked significantly higher when Adinon dropped compared to Kendrick's announcement

Story of Adinon broke the internet. 21 Savage being British broke the internet. Trump getting COVID broke the internet. Will Smith slapping Chris Rock broke the internet.
Kendrick's announcement was big news. Mr Morale and the Big Steppers out soon
