It originally dropped as just a mixtape
And it wasn’t a re release it literally was only added to streaming

The So Far Gone EP selling 70k back in 2009 was a big deal, let's not get that twisted. Especially considering the fact that it was 5 songs that were essentially already free to listen to with an extra 2 new songs.

So Far Gone/Care Package weren't treated like big deal releases by Drake. They were simply songs that have always been available for fans to listen to (albeit unofficially) that were now being made available on official DSP channels. That's all.

Not to take anything away from how massive they are, but Taylor is treating the re-releases of her first 6 albums as full album rollouts and she's going the distance with how they're marketed/released (they are all being released on the idea that she was cheated out of her masters by evil men and this is her somehow reclaiming her power and that's a huge reason why her fans go so hard in support of them). She's pushing singles, making a s*** ton of physicals, etc off these re-releases. The vault tracks are just an added incentive for her fans to show support and many Swifties have already admitted that they still play the OG versions of those albums over the Taylor Versions because they're much better and they're what they're used to but they show support for the re-releases because they know that's what Taylor would want.

If Drake ever puts Room for Improvement/Comeback Season on DSPs, it'll just be so fans can have easy access to listen to them officially and how their releases would be announced would reflect that.
