So they’re just gonna allow a 43 song quadruple album to count as one title even though it’s gonna get 2-3x the stream a normal album gets? Its disgusting that Billboard isn’t implementing some rules on this

Having more songs on an album doesn't necessarily translate to more streams, especially over time.

But it did this time, and just barely stole the number 1. So damn silly.

Morgan Wallen is the only artists who drops albums that bloated and has them perform that well. Chris Brown's albums tend to have just as many songs and they perform nowhere as well as Morgan's albums.

Because he’s the only artist that did it at his prime, and obviously the country audience ate it up.
And let’s not pretend like his label or team didn’t gin up this brilliant idea because it wasn’t aiming to be this decade’s ‘21’ or s*** like that. Their goal was clearly have to an inflated chart run. Can you imagine if Adele was selling her CD for 2.99 each to get to where it is? Because this is what that is.
The fact that billboard didn’t take some action like forcefully spilt it up to ‘side A’ and ‘side B’ is just ridiculous. Sure it might make them look forceful, but it could’ve set an example to future geniuses who want to do the same. And we’ll have plenty doing this from now on.

I mean, people can try and see how it works for them lol. Doubt their albums would have the same impact as Morgan's albums, though. That's the difference.

You’re defending an exploit. Whether that exploit works for everyone else is one thing, but it’s still an exploit.
