Also, the time of release has nothing to do with it. CLB released in September 2021 and was the highest selling rap album of 2021.

Streaming numbers are sales, it’s included in billboard sps (sales+streaming) formula, I don’t think you understand that lol. Time of release is 1000% a factor in why an album might be #1 over another. One had more time to collect units over the other. Same s*** happens with songs too, sometimes they get “caught in-between years” and don’t end up as high on the year end charts as they should be because of its release time. Either way I think Utopia is worthy #1 since the album did actually pull crazy numbers and dominate the conversation when it came out.

Utopia had the biggest rap album debut this year and had a massive pure sales boost in its first 4 weeks (thanks to $5 vinyls) AND it was released 9 whole weeks before For All the Dogs. Why wouldn't it have sold more units? Especially with For All the Dogs being a Q4 release?

This all started because someone posted a tweet from a Drake fan account factually stating that For All the Dogs had now surpassed Utopia in US streaming consumption and you came in here crying, acting like that automatically meant it was a shot at Utopia's performance
