sometimes i wonder how it must feel for these well established rappers with 10 years in the game, certified hits under their belt, sometimes even #1 hits, and yet they are never treated as "album" artists by consumers

like i wonder if a nigga like french really get in his feelings because no matter what he does, how much he promo he does, how many features he gets, how much he tries, how much experience he has in the game, he is never seen as a "listen to his full album" artist and its never changed for over a decade now, s*** must weigh on him clearly if hes pully white girl gimmicks like this

It’s really hard to gain attention from the masses after you fall off. Dababy and Roddy Ricch learned this recently. French was hot in 2012-2013. Back then he was actually being checked for and not just for the features on his songs. After he fell off he started relying on features to stay relevant. Everyone from the early-mid 2010s who were poppin are all basically done at this point except for the big 4. French, Ross, Meek, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Wiz, Rocky etc. all super washed but it’s just how the game goes

i mean even if they get in their feelings, its like what else do they expect when theyre very clearly just in the music industry for the money and fame. if they wanna be taken more seriously then they have to put out quality music and not just an album with 2 hits and a bunch of filler
