that's fine.
im pretty confident he can do those numbers.

https://twitter.com/talkofthecharts/status/1776916386834678229streams can only get u so far. carnival is outta here
Cole had 12 songs. He killing it
Kendrick would get clowned by y’all for releasing anything that didn’t clear 200K first week
No one clowned Untitled Unmastered
If it's not a studio album, no one with half a brain would clown it lol
Honestly, Nevermind was announced the night of release. If it was announced as a “mixtape rather than an album, then 204K sales would be okay to you?
It would’ve sold exactly the same regardless of the word Drake used in the IG post to announce it.
These type of semantics to differentiate projects simply don’t exist in the streaming era.
Yes if it was a mixtape 204K would be fine
But it was an album
The expectations for both are different as far as music, and in turn sales.
And it definetley exists. Otherwise non-solo studio albums wouldnt do so much less (generally) from albums
This post some d***riding on another level ngl
Nope just facts. If yall followed sales consistently youd see the same trends

Also if you go through this thread youll see me defending Mr Morale's intial predictions saying its not an L
It wasnt until final numbers dropped below 300K that I agreed about it
But y'all only check this thread when an artist you don't f*** w drops so you can clown ignorantly
You're very stupid if you don't think the fact that Honestly, Nevermind was a dance album played a huge part in it's commercial performance. You think if Kendrick surprise releases an R&B album now, it'll debut with 300k simply because it's a new Kendrick album? Have some sense.
Notice how I didn’t say anything about the genre of the album affecting its’ sales
I’m talking about the FORMAT of the project.
Whether it was called a mixtape or an album, it was still selling the same amount first week because it was a surprise drop.
Essentially what I’m saying is the “mixtape” excuse for low sales doesn’t apply in the streaming era because when a big artist drops a new full length project, people are going to check it out regardless of whether it’s an official studio album or not.
I’m not saying HNVM flopped, it sold less because it was a dance album obviously.
What I am saying though, is that this Cole project is about to flop massively
He'll have a Drake feat and potentially better producers for The Fall Off tho
I don't think a Drake feat is getting him to 400k. Utopia did 496k, but you can't attribute that to Drake alone. It was a comeback album after 5 years, been teased for years like The Fall Off but Travis was marketing it like crazy towards the end with the suitcases and s***, he got other features like SZA and Carti, Astroworld tragedy, the type of music he makes, he got the kids on lock etc.
Better production is speculation at this point but good beats isn't getting Cole to 400k either
refuse to listen to jcoles new album
Nobody cares

This was a surprise release and is clearly not being marketed as an album. That matters. This isn't The Fall Off that's been teased for years. This is a surprise mixtape. That matters to Cole's audience, whether you wanna admit it or not. The Fall Off will do bigger numbers than this and when that happens, I wonder what your reasoning behind that happening will be.
I like Cole’s album but I just checked and Off Season did 282K and it also had 12 songs
