Labels will lower the budget for mixtapes compared to albums. They absolutely still matter and if an artist is willing to trade that off I think it's fair we lower our usual standards. They don't matter to you because you're a casual that just sees new music on a Spotify page but I respect rappers keeping the art of mixtapes alive
