NEW RELEASE: LIPA IN LINE FOR A TOP DEBUT

Warner's Dua Lipa will have the top debut on next week's HITS Top 50 with her third album, Radical Optimism. We anticipate that Lipa's 11-track set will open in the range of 55-65k.

For reference, Lipa's Future Nostalgia opened with 66k. Total U.S. activity for Dua's sophomore LP is now at 4.3m.

Taylor Swift's THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (Republic) will log a third consecutive week at #1.
Now, if you'll excuse us, we're considering bourbon today in honor of the Kentucky Derby.

Wow I thought Dua was way bigger. 55k after the rollout she’s had has to be a major flop

She's bigger overseas than the U.S.

Oh true s*** I didn’t think of that

Dua another Kesha, Katy Perry, etc.

Gets Pop radio hits but nobody really follows them. She got underwhelming hits this time so the first week is expected.

It’s never been about first weeks with those artists though. The first weeks always gonna be sort of underwhelming they just depend on having big smashes that make total numbers look fine. We’ll see if she gets any

how true are the rumours of her label flopping the promo?

this is just about the same elongated promo that she and her label agreed on and did the same style as FN

As expected… maybe don’t take 6 months to drop the album next time!

But she’s primarily a European girl, so her performance in the US is less relevant

However, her team clearly wanted her to be THEE pop girl (in the US and the world) so this is disappointing

Dua is a huge overseas… might lowkey more organic than Taylor no tricks so her US numbers shouldn’t have y’all worried

She doesn’t have a single song in the top 20 on UK Spotify either so this excuse doesn’t work unfortunately

Future Nostalgia was her Good Girl Gone Bad. This is her Rated R.

Rated R still had a #1 smash on it, don't foresee it for this Dua album.

    Planet Her/Scarlet was more Good Girl/Rated R.

    This like P!nk Missunderstood/Try This

Houdini is the Rude Boy here. It’s a hit, just not a smash hit. A good addition to her catalogue

Dua's gotta drop a diss against Sabrina Carpenter or something to run her numbers up now

Is this a massive flop or did I overestimate how popular she is, wasn't she selling out arenas?

Overseas? You mean the United Kingdom? 55K is Little Simz tier

Huge flop this is embarrassing. If she performs at her own festival this year in Kosovo, she’ll be the lowest selling headliner
