Central Cee should've featured him.
Eminem trash, but this is valid.
There is no reason to put so much sales weight towards radio play.
Everyone who has cars listens to the radio. Not everyone loves music as much as us forum heads tbh.
I know people that don’t even know about the Drake-Kendrick beef 😂
She’s my alma maaaaaaater
Smoking me out of sight
Doing lines all night
SCREAMING F*** BALENCIAGAAAAAA

I mean...radio has still been on a rapid decline as a format except for super megahits.
I guess we'll see, I think it's gonna be a lot closer than you think, in the US at least. Globally she'll eat morgan up
Soon as Taylor stops dropping 2 albums a year (in like 2 years) I think Morgan is gonna close the gap pretty quickly. Taylor dropping like 3x more albums than Morgan is the only reason she's competing really
Taylor's catalogue streams are already falling fast
The issue is, without even counting the most recent albums, T swift has already earned a lot of streams through her catalogue in early 2020 before Morgan even had his first (big) album, and now given she has stronger catalogue streams and more new materials, the gap will be pulled further.

yeah fair but she's running out of Taylor versions to release & her catalogue streams have fallen off a cliff sinec the end of her US tour
Taylor's dropped 3 albums sinec the start of 2023, compared to Morgan's 1 yet according to HDD Morgan did 122k album streaming units last week, vs taylor's 185k, bit flawed since hdd only shows top 50 albums and she's probably got a few that did like 10k-15k, but still

isn't she running out of Taylor's versions? you think she'll start dropping normal albums twice a year instead? seems unlikely since she's dropped 2 normal albums only once in a year in her whole 15 year career

Morgan will never close the gap between himself and Taylor. She has a bigger back catalog of music that's collectively performing much better than his 3 albums. Not to mention, Taylor scores much bigger debuts and drops every single year, sometimes, multiple times. She still has 2 more Taylor's Version albums to drop, not to mention any other new albums she has on the way.

In sales yeah, but in streaming the stats are saying otherwise, especially as like I said she's running out of re-recordings & her back catalogue is dying off again
we have 5.5 whole ass years left of this decade

What stats are you seeing that's saying otherwise? Last year, Taylor was charting 4 albums in the Billboard 200 top 10 every week for months. She's currently charting 11 albums every week with 9 of them in the top 100. Her current album has moved over 4M units in just 7 weeks. Her back catalogue isn't dying off anytime soon.
She was the most consumed artist in the US/Globally last year and the same will happen this year and probably next year and the year after that.
Morgan is obviously a massive artist in the US and is doing something crazy with just 3 albums to his name but Taylor will always win off her power to pull off massive debuts and the strength of her expansive back catalogue. Morgan isn't even outselling Drake (due to Drake's back catalogue) and Taylor's back catalogue is putting up bigger numbers than Drake's.

https://twitter.com/StatsBillboard/status/1783936378503311535This week last year Taylor had 11 albums in the top 50 highest selling albums of the week (according to hdd), with a total of 217k~ streaming units, at that point her most recent album was Midnights, from 8 months prior
Last week Taylor has just 5 albums in the top 50 highest selling albums of the week (hdd), with a total of 185k streaming units, TTPD (only 2 months old makes up for 118k of that)
It's definitely likely that she has at least 3-4 albums selling 10k-15k not in the top 50, so if we're generous and add another 30k, her back catalogue has still taken a massive hit compared to only 12 months ago, since TTPD is now a huge % of her streaming units
Meanwhile Morgan 12 months ago was doing 177k streaming units w 3 albums. This week he did 122k, with no album in 15 months.
Morgan already has a huge streaming hit for his new album, Taylor will outstream him this year, but I'm just saying that 2025/2026 onwards I think Morgan is going to close the gap & overtake her, based on Taylor running out of re-recordings & I don't think Taylor will be able to get close to that mania she saw in 2023 again
real hits btw
say that!
