84th for Rocky's comeback single after like 6 years off is pretty worrying for him

his album probably gonna do like 40k fw unless he cheeses vinyls/digitals

There was also this but yeah, he's dropping all these singles and they're peaking in the 80s and dropping out of the Hot 100 after a week. Not a good sign of what's to come.

Very excited for this Weeknd album too after some convos on here a while ago, people were so sure his audience just loves to buy his albums

i'll be shocked if he doesn't go the digital album path though. With all this build up, hype, pre-orders, he should be doing 300k-400k easily at this point, but he's gonna do more like 150k-200k unless he does digital albums

I'm intrigued to hear the new single. Dawn FM isn't my favorite Weeknd album but it has some of my favorite songs from him. I think anything above 200k would be a huge W for him.

Oh? Hope I enjoy it regardless. I loved Take My Breath, Sacrifice and a handful of other songs off Dawn FM.

More people are listening to Mr. Morale right now than they are Her Loss

    billboard.com/charts/billboard-200

hot 200 charts are out btw and Mr Morale isn't on the list, but Her Loss is :o

12 year old GKMC being 46th whilst Mr Morale not being on the list says it all tbh

Ariana's career feels annoying to me, she has all the potential to become a legit superstar of her generation & be seen as that girl but it doesn't seem like she cares. She's just fading away into an artist that'll be mostly forgotten in 10-20 years

Ariana has seen more success than most female artists. Multiple #1 albums, multiple #1/top 10 hits. She has nothing more to prove. And it's not that she doesn't care, it's that the music simply isn't hitting with the GP as much as it once did, which is something every artist who blew up in the 2010s is facing right now. It is what it is.

The way The Weeknd milked After Hours for 5 straight years is an achievement of its own

  • Sep 10, 2024

Yeah, he definitely doesn't have s*** else to prove numbers-wise. Has more than enough hits to perform on tour for the rest of his career.

After Hours has only been out for 4 years and that's what every artist is supposed to do.

I wouldn't say he was milking it, the songs from it just took a long time to go down in popularity. That's part of the reason why Dawn performed the way it did.

Insisting The Weeknd will do 300k minimum and if/when it doesn't happen and some people call the album a flop/underperformance, come in this same thread insulting those people for being numbers-obsessed. Never fails.
