There’s a difference between loving pop music and specifically seeking out music that sells well.

Your avi would never be what it is right now if Sabrina never took off

I actually made it this to trigger the travis fans lol I rarely listen to sabrina

BL only reached #1 after the album came out, not before, the album was pivotal to its blow up. Big artists didn't wanna drop that year because of the situation.

It's the same with Roddy's songs btw, Ballin had 44 weeks on hot 100, Rockstar 42, The Box 38. They're abnormal numbers and it was all because there was barely any music coming out from top artists at that tie

again i'm not saying all of BL's success was cause of covid lol, just that covid helped it a LOT on billboard

The Box was literally killing the charts months before the pandemic, you sound crazy

You said word for word you enjoy generic radio music. Generic radio music != pop. There are many interesting pop artist.

Lol you can find the original post but I was actually saying that I enjoy generic radio music because more people enjoy it and I enjoy music more when I can enjoy it with friends/family

Crazy how that’s not what I said at all.

You said you listen to generic radio music more often because that’s what most people enjoy.

Have you ever thought of listening to music that you just enjoy yourself?

And then maybe share this music you enjoy with other people and they might start to enjoy it with you

That's funny because everyone saw it as the end all be all until Billboard released a scam & announced BL as their biggest song of all time at the same time

This isn't even to mention that BL had very fortunate timing & wouldn't have had as much success if it wasn't released during the 2 years artists were barely dropping music lol. but still

This rhetoric that “artist were barely dropping music” makes no sense to me when in 2020 and 2021 you had more albums released that topped the charts than the years following lmao

Like 2020 had 31 albums go #1, no other year this decade has come close aside from 2021 just like how it was before covid so we can dead that perspective

Okay then your issue is with those people then, but objectively fader is right in what he said.
You tend to misunderstand the chart math on purpose

To be fair, it just depends how we define superstars. What’s the bar? Legacy acts are different than having superstar runs.

MJ was a mega star. Early 2000s Em was a mega star. Mid 2000 50 was a tier below imo and never reached that level. You can call him a superstar. I think it comes down to how you want to define tiers.

Part of the numbers game by these labels. Every major label uses bots now anyways if you think they don‘t do it for your fav artists then idk what to tell you so only god knows who got the best raw numbers (pause). He been selling out stadiums in Europe and has caused earthquakes in Italy, it‘s undeniable that he’s the biggest commercially after ye em and the big 3 without cole imo

50 definitely a superstar imo. u can go to a random village in Bangladesch, ask which rappers they know and most people will most likely say they know pac em snoop or 50.

uhh you realise that proves my point right?

The more albums going #1 = the lower the bar is for #1 because there's no albums selling well lol

That is literally how the charts work, yeah lol

No one else is going #1 for 2 months after Taylor drops, or a month after Drake. How can you possibly disagree w/ that lol
