I'm not seeing any proof that certain countries have streams weighted less than other countries. I saw some charts but it's not verifiable. The billboard global 200 and rolling stone ones dont weigh per country. Think its just cap

An interesting thing iv noticed about this thread/number talk on KTT is that when Drake was the king of global streaming, people always said it didn't matter as much because streaming barely pays the artist. Everyone used to say "selling music means more because its how the artist gets bread"

but now Drake isn't the king, and The Weeknd is, suddenly streaming numbers are apparently everything & making actual money is less important

I'm pretty sure they aren't, its just that certain countries pay way less

weeknd/sabrina etc are huge in indonesia for example but those streams pay about 5x less than streams in the US

Kinda surprised not to see Weeknd in either of those, but I guess he's more of a radio artist in the US so he normally hangs outside the top 10, same as Bruno

Bro can you leave the weeknd his name out of your mouth for at least one post? Your obsession is becoming laughable at this point. Go outside and put Sabrina on your speakers weird guy.

  • This guy claims the weeknd in his top 3 but try to downplay him every post what a logic lol

No, he spends a lot of time in the top 10, he just doesn't have 3 songs spending said time in the top 10 simultaneously. He usually has 1 or 2 songs doing that.

It's actually insane how upset you guys get about me talking about The Weeknd lol, even Drake fans don't get this insecure about people talking about him

Feels like some BTS type s***, getting this upset about a stranger's posts online and then telling them to go outside is an incredible level of irony

All those artists managed to have at least 3 songs big enough to chart in the Hot 100 top 10 simultaneously. The Weeknd is yet to do that.
