It outsold it by 21K with the help of 50K coming from pure sale physical copies. Dawn FM didn’t have any physical bundles first week, its’ pure sales were only 14K digital downloads.

Removing the physicals, CMIGYL would’ve done 119K.

Dawn did 148K without any physicals. It out-streamed CMIGYL by 20 million the first week

Even if Tyler’s fanbase has grown since 2021, it’s still literally nowhere near Weeknd’s.

And before you say something about that being a global stat, Tyler is at #37 on US Spotify, Weeknd is at #7.

And before you say that’s because Weeknd just dropped two new singles, if you look at a random date from this summer, Weeknd was at #14 and Tyler at #35.

You’re probably gonna end up saying that it’s because of Weeknd’s back catalog, which is partially true, but Tyler’s most recent song in his most daily streamed is from 2021 and doing 270K daily, but Weeknd has a song from last year doing 2.8 million daily

In think he or she is right about this. This is purely from a dedicated fanbase perspective. the announcement pic / video have 200k+ likes, and the video teaser has like 5m in 2 days. Its clearing 100k 200k is what hes shooting for Imo

I get that, but social media engagement isn’t really a good barometer of what an album will sell first week. Dawn FM is the perfect example of that, the announcement and reveal had crazy engagement on socials, but then the album didn’t do crazy numbers
