    Hmmm i wonder why

Strange argument, nobody is listening to all 488 Drake tracks or 229 Kendrick tracks. They're listening to songs they want to listen to, and more people are now choosing to listen to Drake

Is your point that Drake is a more versatile artist who makes songs for a wider array of people and moods and situations? That would be a valid reason to explain the larger number of streams. But just 'more songs to pick from' doesn't really make sense. I could upload 600 songs to streaming services tomorrow and nobody is going to listen to that s***

Sure, but there are still a much, much higher number of Drake songs available to listen to than there are the number of Kendrick songs.

Let’s say if people are just listening to only half of their available tracks. That’s still 244 Drake songs vs. 114 Kendrick songs

  • Dec 18, 2024

Excuses, excuses. Future has 330 more songs than Drake on Spotify, why isn't he out-streaming him?

cant believe the trick to being the most streamed all you have to do is flood the streets with infinite songs what a revelation

oh wait, 3 albums in 2024, 300+ more songs, half the streams

dam for a second i thought the code was cracked, back to the drawing board

Anybody thinking having more songs lends itself to putting up massive streaming numbers overtime clearly doesn't understand how streaming works or is in denial about how it works.

Drake simply has a catalog that people keep going back to consistently. That's it. Doesn't matter whether he drops a new project or not or whether or scored a hit record or not.

It's many artists with more songs than Drake who aren't even pulling half the streams he pulls daily.

The argument is especially stupid because on the other end of it, you have someone like Billie Eilish, who only has 78 songs on Spotify but is averaging 38M daily streams.

All that's ever mattered when it comes to amassing streams is getting people to actually engage in the songs that have been released. That's all there's ever been to it. That's why Chris Brown can drop multiple albums with 30+ songs and is still yet to debut with up to 100M US streams with an album.

Nobody has ever tried to claim that Drake isn’t a megastar historical figure in music. Y’all always posting these tweets as gotchas is genuinely puzzling

future is top 4 in the CURRENT 2024 rap landscape (drake/kenny/trav/future -- cole we wait to see his next album since might delete later flopped)

most consider bron is the goat, yet you will still have convos with people about other top nba players and compare no?

literally started because someone posted drake surpassing kenny in streams, one kenny stan gets defensive says its becuase he has more songs, simply post a comparison to future to show songs dont matter

i could have done worse and posted thug's numbers with 700 songs doing 8mil daily but i chose a more suitable option

This is such a dumbass argument man

i can name plenty, lil durk 600 songs 5mil daily

is it drakes fault he laps his peers that heavily?

and its funny becuase your defensive over my post about future having 700+ songs and doing half the streams of drake AND KENDRICK

the point was to show that hes doing half of BOTH OF THEM. not just drake. to show song numbers do not matter. consumers choose what they will listen to.

chris brown flops every album with 50+ songs, why? cus consumers CHOSE not to listen

why is it that these oher brand name rappers get off the hook for selling bum numbers and we just say "oh u cant compare to drake or kendrick", nah they SHOULD be compared and should feel like s*** for dedicating their life to this and never competing at any point

in every sport (which rap is a sport), there are LEGENDS that people say "those numbers are unbeatable" until someone better comes and beats it. it happens in every single sport, and it happened with rap when it went from pac/biggie -> em/50 -> ye (beating 50 but not ems numbers) -> drake
