Depends on what you consider “huge” to be.
I think the physical numbers will peak out at around 200K (especially with the tracklist fiasco)

I was thinking 250-300k with the streaming taking it over 400k overall. May be bit of a overestimate so if he does a bit lower it’s all good

he should be able to hit 200K in sales purely from stream, that’s about 300M first-week streams

We all acknowledge Drake is a bigger artist in North America than The Weeknd is; where we say The Weeknd is bigger is on an international level.
Billboard first week numbers are USA performance only, and his first week numbers in the USA have NEVER been crazy. Again, his highest total ever was 444K, and that was with the use of random merch bundles and ticket bundles.
Drake is also the #1 king of streaming; he has 30+ billion more streams than The Weeknd on Spotify alone. It is not and never will be a surprise that his albums sell so much purely through streaming. The Weeknd’s highest first week streaming units sold was After Hours with 163K. He has never been a big streamer first week, but his albums always have massive legs (both After Hours and Starboy are in the Top 10 of most streamed albums on Spotify ever; zero Drake records are)

Why can’t you just acknowledge that Weeknd is a different type of artist than Drake when it comes to numbers? It’s not always about first weeks. For someone that spends way more time looking at numbers every week than the average music listener, your aren’t that great at deducing what the whole data set of these artists implies.
