I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything, you brought it up schizo
What's schizo is you making almost a dozen @shaleirose alt accounts and getting banned back to back on each one before you finally gave up and became @fader but hey, get it how you live
I will never understand people complaining about users being obsessed with numbers.....in a numbers thread.

What’s schizo is you believing that it’s me
When the Weeknd does 400k+ first week and I'm proven right as the only one who believed in him

Then you’ll be forced to praise him so you lose either way dumbass

You really are a f***ing idiot. Dumbass thinks I'm projecting 400k+ because I wanna see him fail. If I wanted that, I'd project 500k+ dummy.

We all see through your petty stan bullshit. You know damn well he’s not clearing 400K

Actually, no, I don't know that because unlike you, I'm not making stupid excuses for him. I've already broken down why I think he should be able to reach those numbers. You're just scared of him being mocked as a flop after how Dawn FM performed and that's making you downplay his magnitude as an artist to be on the safe side.
Beyoncè (who isn't nearly as successful as the Weeknd is in the US btw) did over 400k first week with her last album (which was a f***ing country album) but yes, we should all be projecting 100k first week for the Weeknd so @fader doesn't have to see anyone mock the album's performance like they did with Dawn FM

Nobody said 100K

I’m not making any excuses, I’m looking at reality. His first week numbers have never been major

95,000 - Kiss Land (before mainstream prominence)
412,000 - Beauty Behind The Madness
348,000 - Starboy
444,000 - After Hours
148,000 - DawnFM (no physicals)
You'd think I was expecting him to do something he's never come anywhere close to doing before

The last time he cleared 400K in the past 9 years (aka the entire streaming era) he needed the help of random merch bundles and tour ticket bundles to pass that figure.
HUT has a million different versions on vinyl sure but I highly doubt he’s sold enough to clear 400K.
And you know damn well there is a major difference in 400K in 2015 compared to 400K in 2025

idk what major is but hasnt he done 400k FW 2 or 3 times?

Once in 2015. Sales numbers are drastically different in 2025 than they were in 2015.
Once in 2020, but with the help of lollipop bundles and tour ticket bundles.

Why are you acting like he NEEDS to move 400k units in only physical sales? If he even manages 300M US streams (which isn't an impossibility, seeing as the album has 22 tracks), that gives him about 235k SEA units, easily. What are we doing here?

He did 220M streams first week for After Hours, and there was way more pre-album hype for that than for HUT.
HUT is 6 tracks longer, and is having good word of mouth, so it might match that 220M or finish a little higher around 250M, but I doubt he hits 300M streams first week

just curious, what are your top 3 songs on the album? or you'll start listening if it reaches 400k?
I will never understand people complaining about users being obsessed with numbers.....in a numbers thread.
It's so pathetic that it's hard to ignore at times

Obsessed when it’s nothing to do with your country is weird bs.
White Europeans cosplaying and hoping for black artist failure in America is some deep rooted racist bs but go ahead and defend it.

Cry for Me.
Open Hearts.
Niagra Falls.

Think the real question is what takes off as a single. Nothing here is mega commercial to my ears even the less out there songs aren’t very radio to me

I think Open Hearts should be the next single. He's already released São Paulo as a single and that didn't take off so releasing Cry for Me as the next single might not work. Both songs sound similar production-wise. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what takes off.
