Is there a term for the opposite of recency bias? I feel like a lot of people have that when it comes to not just art, but things like sports and culture in general.

I said above I feel like it’s not really nostalgia because you will get people who never experienced certain things saying that the older thing is better solely because enough time hasn’t passed on the newer thing yet.
Example: any kind of sports GOAT debate, you’ll have 20 year olds saying Steph Curry can’t be in Magic convos, and they never witnessed Magic so they have no nostalgia tied to it

I think nostalgia plays a factor into that tho. They only really think that because that’s what they were taught growing up. Growing up all I hear about was how both MJs and Mike Tyson were the goats and I still think that even tho I never got to experience their primes live in person
