Which one has? Genuine question. I’m happy to be proven wrong:
More Life - Fake Love and passionfruiy the only real hits
Scorpion - Yeah it had hits, but who’s spoken about those hits post 2020? Nothing has really stayed
DLDT - fair enough no promo (his best out this bunch)
CLB - underrated, but again, who’s gone back to this?
HNVM - 21 savage ft was the only ‘hit’
Her Loss - had its short run
FATD - i ain’t ever seen no one talk about this mid
Define what you are looking for with objective criteria. Also what rap album from other artists would fit this?

An album that people can genuinely say has gotten better overtime.
Genuinely any rap album that’s been released post2016
By this time tomorrow, it seems there'll only be 3 HUT songs in the Top 50 of US Spotify Daily
Slow burn has turned into a Slow death

Do you have like a parlay on The Weeknd’s failure or something?

I think w/ this deluxe, Short n Sweet is the second biggest female pop album of the last 10+ years globally, so she's alright
a case can be made its bigger than tortured poets department too

Bigger than Taylor and Ariana albums? Even Planet Her bigger.
I never once claimed that The Weeknd was the biggest popstar in the US this decade
Literally not one time.
On a GLOBAL level, he is 100% #2 right behind Taylor.
I’ve said numerous times Drake is bigger than Weeknd in the US
On a GLOBAL level, he is 100% #2 right behind Taylor.
He's #2 right behind Taylor on a global level but his highly-anticipated 22-track final album as The Weeknd can't out-stream Bad Bunny's album on Spotify that's been out for 5 weeks?

Yeah I'm pretty sure its probably 2x+ bigger than any ari album or planet her

Bad Bunny dropped a classic
I don’t think it’s fair to judge s*** on an album-by-album basis.
Nobody said Drake wasn’t the #1 most popular rapper in the world after Honestly, Nevermind came out

Then what are you judging Weeknd being #2 on? an album he dropped 5 years ago?

He was #2 on Global Spotify in 2024 with his most recent album dropping two years prior. He fills up stadiums with ease in every corner of the planet
The same way Drake is still the #1 most popular rapper because he outstreams everyone on a year-by-year basis, that’s the same logic being applied to me saying The Weeknd is the second biggest artist on the planet. The Weeknd is AT WORST the #3 biggest artist globally.

Drake is #1 to me because his last 2 albums were more successful than any other rapper's last 2 albums. by quite some distance too

Don't bring Drake into this. We're talking about the Weeknd and you saying he's only #2 to Taylor as a global force.
Since you said we're too obsessed with US streaming numbers, I posted the global performance of The Weeknd's album on Spotify (the platform he's the most successful on) and even then, his latest album couldn't globally out-stream Bad Bunny's album that's been out for 5 weeks now. What's the new cope/excuse for that?
