Diamond status just isnt impressive anymore. And I say that as a Kendrick fan and he just hit double diamond with HUMBLE. Even Love Sosa went diamond which shows how watered down the title is now.

A Boogie’s Drowning is diamond but barely anyone knows that song lol. HUMBLE is double diamond but it’s not nearly as big as In Da Club.

A diamond record back in 2003 is like 30x-40x platinum today. As streaming continues to grow this will only become more common and in a decade diamond plaques wont be special at all.

Most of Drake’s diamond records would’ve struggled to hit 3x platinum back in 2003.
