This is actually crazy that UVST sold 3.4 million copies
I find it funny that Drake stans don’t include Morgan Wallen in these “biggest year ever”conversations.
One Thing At A Time sold 5 million copies in 2023, an additional 3 million in 2024, and they act like it doesn’t exist. It’s like they understand the difference between just selling a ton of albums and actually vastly affecting culture while doing so.
That’s why I gotta laugh when they try to say stuff like “Drake keeps the lights on at Universal”.
It can genuinely be argued that he’s not even a Top 3 biggest artist on their roster right now

"Un Verano Sin Ti is also the first album to spend its first six months on the chart in the top two, since the Billboard 200 began publishing in 1956."
This stat is actually more impressive than anything else. Longevity unlike anything we have ever seen.

All while being an album that is COMPLETELY in a secondary language in the country. Genuinely insane performance

UVST is a classic. I was listening to this album last week and man... I know so many people who can't even speak the language and they loved it because it was just too good
Put greatdivine and fader in the billboard building f*** ktt we need the real numbers
LMAO was it not advertised as a test pressing I love fans
It was, and then when you would explain to them what that meant they would say “you’re lying, Abel wouldn’t do that”
Level 1:
Elvis 1956
Beatles 1964
Beatles 1967
MJ 1983
Level 2:
Em 2000
Em 2002
50 2003
Adele 2011
Bad Bunny 2022
These are THE years culturally + everything else - but mainly culturally. I think all the other years ‘in the convo’ aren’t on these levels tbh, they’re all fighting for Level 3 at best

The 3peat of those Scorpion singles was so crazy. Dude couldn’t miss
No one in the US cared about Bad Bunny before MIA dropped
that’s not true at all lol Cardi B if anything made people care about Bunny here on I Like It. It went #1 even
Drake yet again hopped on someone’s rise
The 3peat of those Scorpion singles was so crazy. Dude couldn’t miss
crazy run
Nice for what is still one of the greatest songs ever

Yikes, this is a really really awful take and feels uniquely myopic.

The person isn’t even from US and making these wild statements lol.

We'll never see something like that be done by a rapper again.

I don't think you can say that. Before MIA dropped, I Like It was a massive hit in the US.
MIA became Bad Bunny's first top 10 hit in the US as a lead artist, though. It also became the first song sang entirely in Spanish to reach #1 on US Rhythmic radio.
Overall, I'd say both those songs were very instrumental to Bad Bunny breaking into the US market.
Top 7 now.

Dumbass
Drake 2016 or 2018 is not at least level 2?
Drakes 2016 and 2018 are level 1 bro. He trying to be different lmao. No one has had years like that besides MJ.
Bro trynna say 490k is flop

Thread is hilarious as always, good to see mental illness on display sometimes
The Weeknd sold 130k. The narrative of him selling 490k needs to stop. Dude sold opium merch and half pressed vinyls for first week sales. Its embarrassing. Them streams were ass
your brain cant grasp bad bunny 2022 peak still huh
He had the biggest streaming album ever/broke barriers and toured bigger than any year Drake has had.
And bad bunny was was everywhere to a point we couldnt go out without bad bunny songs.
He changed the nightlife dynamics of most of America. That's culture.
Real ass post
