Here's a fact, far more people were googling Ice Spice in the last year~ than Bad Bunny in 2018. Literally 4x+ more

By major artists, yes, and that’s why I think the RIAA is going to introduce a higher certification soon because literally all of these songs by all these artists going Diamond every other day devalues the prestige of the accomplishment.

Mark my words they will introduce a new certification for songs that hit 20x or 30x Platinum

It doesn’t devalue the prestige of the accomplishment. If anything the accomplishment is better represented now than it ever has been. They could introduce a 20x or 30x certification but with the logic yall are using, most major artists hit songs will also reach that mark one day too lol

I don’t think so. Only a FEW songs have hit Double Diamond still, HUMBLE. is the first rap song to hit that mark.

Compare that to the 100+ songs that have went Diamond in the past year or two alone.

A 20x Platinum or 30x Platinum Certification would become extremely prestigious

Streaming is still in its infancy. In the next few years we’ll see the amount of songs to hit double diamond explode and so on. It’s only natural given how much streaming continues to grow. 1b on spotify used to be seen as a rare feat, then 2b and now there are a handful of songs sitting at 3b right now

I really don’t think so. I just checked and there has still only been ONE song to be certified Double Diamond ever: Sunflower. HUMBLE. is eligible but not officially certified yet.

By the end of this decade, I guarantee there will still be less than 10 songs that have hit that mark, in comparison to the literal hundreds that have went Diamond in that same timeframe

I wouldn’t say NO shot. It’s not likely, but if Drake is the lead artist and people receive the album well, getting near 300K is definitely possible. Her Loss overperformed for that same reason

If PND is billed as the lead artist, I’m expecting between 175K and 225K.

If Drake is, I’m expecting between 215K and 265K.

I think anything over 300K for this album would be a massive win
