I really think the only reason Drake is dropping album now is to boost his streams. Based on current projections, Taylor and Bad Bunny are set to catch up or pass him in 12-15 months and there’s no way he’d let that happen. Probably gonna be another 20+ song project just to rack up streams lol even if the quality ends up being terrible.
If he was worried he would’ve not skipped out on dropping an album last year lol
“He cheated the first week” nigga grow up you sound like a 10 year old throwing a tantrum after losing a game
Did I say it was bigger than any of his other hits? Or did I say it was a hit on the rise?
And it will 100% finish in the Top 10 this year, mostly because it dropped so early and the first week total was so high. It’s already at basically 600K after two weeks.
It’ll be Platinum by around April or May, which leaves half of the year for more units to sell.
It’ll finish the year probably somewhere between 1.3M and 1.8M units sold
SZA/Bad Bunny/Chappell/Kendrick/Sabrina/Morgan's album's outselling over the year is like guaranteed though, so that's 6 slots taken already. Add Drake's album, another Taylor album.. Top 10 isn't as guaranteed as you think
lol 1.3m units in a year is terrible for a star artist

Bad Bunny’s - yes
Kendrick’s - possibly
SOS - most likely simply because it’s 42 songs
Sabrina - possibly, but the deluxe has to have legs, she’s like 200K+ behind right now
And it depends on when Morgan drops. If he drops first half of the year, then definitely, but if he drops like Q3/Q4, it might only get to 1M by year’s end.
And it’s really not terrible, it’s very hilarious how you spent years clowning Dawn’s first week sales and predicting that HUT would flop first week, and now you’re shifted the goalposts to longterm performance after you were drastically wrong about the first week

Tf you mean possibly lol I guarantee GMX will be above Hurry Up Tomorrow by damn May, hell even April at this rate. Let alone the end of December
I meant Morgan's 3 year old album One Thing at a Time, that's gonna outsell this by the end of the year for sure.
I'm not shifting the goalposts at all lol iv been saying here for months that HUT was gonna do really well first week & then flop longterm

No it won’t. One Thing At a Time is 400K behind HUT right now.
HUT would literally have to sell like 5K-10K a week for months for that album to catch up.
And no you have not, we’ve all seen you predicting that HUT would flop first week because the singles had no hype
Nigga you LOST. Get over it. You were wrong about the stadium tour, you were wrong about this album.
For those expecting this to do monster numbers.

I bet you $100 I have posts saying this'll do like 200k-300k+ fw from the last month or 2 lol. I even predicted higher than you, you said it'd do 100k pure.
5k-10k a week? eh? One Thing At a Time will be selling 20k+ more than HUT a week by June/July. It only needs about 3 months of that.

Give it up man. What’s next, it won’t end up in the Top 50 highest selling of the decade?
You lost, keep moving the goalposts all you want, nobody cares anymore. The Weeknd is over, his final album was a success, and he has a massive stadium tour upcoming to cap it off. Move on.

Moving like one of those BTS fans that became suicidal due to BTS receiving hate man, insanity

Nigga YOU are the only one constantly providing hate watch updates for the album that everyone agrees was a commercial success. Even Divine isn’t watching its’ daily performance like a hawk like you are. You have a sick obsession, let it go.
You did the same thing the first few weeks of GNX’s release, and now you’ve shut up about it because the album is clearly successful
For those expecting this to do monster numbers.
https://twitter.com/billboardcharts/status/1890060740507427111U said Kendrick got a hit from the “Drake stimulus”. By ur logic, this new album should have hella #1s since Drake himself is on it

Their goalposts move whenever it’s convenient

https://twitter.com/billboardcharts/status/1890060740507427111You’re about to be proven so wrong. I’m shocked you’re standing on this lmfao.
Also can someone not called Fader answer why the weeknds album is performing so terribly? It still doesn’t make sense to me. Especially with the good word to mouth.

She literally does this on purpose

It’s… not
600K sold in two weeks and that’s somehow a terrible performance I’ve seen it all
The digital download thing is the glorified equivalent of an iTunes purchase.
Here are his last four albums’ first week pure sales numbers (which were all just digital download/iTunes purchases):
Certified Lover Boy: 46K
Honestly, Nevermind: 11K
Her Loss: 12K
For All The Dogs: 10K
$$$4U isn’t doing no crazy pure sales figures unless they drop actual CD and/or vinyl copies along with merch bundles that all ship first week
or he makes an instant crossover smash that appeals to the “I don’t keep up with music” iTunes crowd responsible for crazy pure sales nowadays

Cuz the album sucks and Weeknd fell off

He won’t. What people don’t realize is that Drake being the artist to fully usher in the era of streaming also means that his audience is made up of people who primarily stream music and don’t spend a dime on physical copies of records (or digital copies)
