Thank god numbers don’t matter and $$$4u is miles ahead of gnx. I mean its not even close lol

    Tell drake stans this

Because for a whole decade or so, they said sales/streams were a BIG, some even saying the only objective sole factor in measuring album quality and everyone else argued against it

    It’s US vs global streams

Weeknd a bigger global superstar than Drake is

Weird considering I don't think The Weeknd has ever finished higher on an IFPI list right?

The US market is also accounted in that stat and the US is the biggest music market in the world (China might be bigger now tho). So Drake being considerably bigger in the US is also going to boost his stats on that chart

I don't think this is true as of 2-3 years ago, spotify/am have made huge pushes in asia/latin america and the US is kinda meh now, it'[s why the top hits are so different now vs 5 years ago. someone posted charts about this last week

i went to Drake's last tour twice (one regular) and one to see him with Cole and trust me and I was glad Drake isn't bigger than the weeknd because i got way cheaper floor tickets each time and way smaller venues.

But Weeknd lower section in front of stage cost me $150 day of

The US and Canada combined make up 41% of the global recorded music revenues

This is from the 2024 report. The US market is unrivaled really

Yeah & it was all pent up because up until a year or 2 ago, there was nothing to even really bully Drake for, except the Pusha s***

People not into Drake were always very jealous of his stans, and it makes a lot of sense why, he has arguably been the best artist to be a stan of for the last 10~ years. so now they're letting all the bullying out.

People not into Drake were always very jealous of his stans

Are you f***ing kidding me rn mangotflu. Do you know how much is wrong about this stupid ass statement

  • Feb 17, 2025

most people who dislike Drake is because of him being a culture vulture and fake mob ties persona.

It's more of vanilla ice dislike than Nelly dislike

Lmao be for real. Every stan of an artist wished their artist dropped as much as Drake did

It's like being in highschool watching your friend f*** stacey every day whilst you're jerking off
