The entire premise of this thread before the title was changed to be the sales thread was Divine coming at «Kendrick Stans”

Yall been clowning every major release of every single major artist for the last 5 years. Like go back thru the KTT album threads, there’s ALWAYS the same Drake d***riders yelling out flop and starting s***.

You ever see a group “Kendrick Stans” in an Abel, Travis, etc. thread clowning those artists? No, you haven’t.

Great Divine created the thread to stop Kendrick fans from setting Kendrick up for failure. Kendrick fans were saying he would do 500K first week at least, some viral Kendrick fan tweets said 1M first week.

Great Divine was trying to help them by telling them that he would sell 250-300K first week, and not 500K.

Guess what happened? It did 290K first week.

Anybody suggesting any of those things is being mad disingenuous.

#1. Cole's last 3 albums have each had 12 tracks so stop acting like niggas haven't dropped 12-track projects and put up massive numbers before.

#2. This album has been promoted since it dropped. Everything that happened this year was promo for the album.

#3. A surprise release shouldn't matter. Drake has done a handful of surprise releases before and the expectation was always that they would do massive numbers regardless because once the album drops, people would dial in.

This further establishes Kendrick as a 300M+ US streams artist. This will be his third straight album dropping and never reaching 350M US streams.

Oh and btw, the album has to finish the tracking week strong to debut with 291k. If the numbers over the next 3 days experience a significant drop, it might end up debuting with like 285k or something.

Tyler had less than 4 tracking days and amassed about 150k units in SEA units. Kendrick has the full tracking week and can't amass 275K units in SEA units.

1. Drakes last 3 albums have all been overbloated messes to try to overinflate the numbers. So stop acting like thats not the case.

2. This album has been promoted for 6 straight months. Drake constantly posting about it and teasing it. Everything that happened last year was also promo for the album

3. An R&B album shouldnt matter. Drake has dropped plenty of R&B tracks and some of his most popular tracks are R&B and take care can be considered an R&B album

This further establishes as drake flopping and kendrick taking a huge hit in his numbers. This will be his 4th album in a row with numbers dropping, and this time it will be a MAJOR HIT

oh and btw, this album has to finish the tracking week strong to even break 220k. If the numbers over the next 3 days experience a significant drop. it may dip under 200k.

Maybe next time, when Drake drops and does his numbers, don't rush to label it a flop because your faves won't be able to reach those numbers when it's their time to drop. Y'all never learn.
