Many of them were released in previous years, tht's my point
Drake had many songs still popping in 2020/2021 that were released prior, counting them is stupid
???
The ONLY ones that were technically released in the 2010s were Blinding Lights and Heartless, but they were still on a 2020 album.
The Die For You Remix literally did not exist until 2023
Blinding Lights was a top 5 song in the coutry in 2019 man
Die For You also came out almost 10 years ago lmao
Die For You Remix.

The REMIX did not release until 2023. The REMIX is what I am counting because it has a billion streams by itself

it's always semantics isn't it?
Does anyone know how the curation process works? For the songs
I think the best way to summarize it is that labels send them songs by their artists they specifically want playlist focus on in the moment. This is like labels sending specific singles to radio.
From there forward, the streaming service/radio station adds the song into consideration then does their own rankings and decides how much they’ll support it based off their own a***ytics.
Playlists supposed to have a blend of proven hits that the listener recognizes, upcoming hits that the listener is being put on to, and some lesser known underground stuff that’s taking off in smaller circles for listeners to discover.
then why was there no banner, no tweet?
they've doine that for every other drake album ever
they're clearly trying to stunt the popularity of the album by not promoting it like they normally do
Maybe it's scattered cus I've seen nun but promo

You counted both
People saying Spotify is trying to f*** over Drake are f***ing dumb, he's the most streamed artist on Spotify too with over 100 million streams. Spotify makes money with him. They will never blackball him in any way
When people don’t get their way they always feel cheated
I would not be surprised if the US makes up like 70% of AM users worldwide if Apple ever released such a stat let me know
I am the only AM user anywhere I am
Apple is incredibly popular in the US, so the discrepancy is not all that shocking.
I think Occam's razor tell us that less listeners on Spotify are interested in listening to a new Drake album at this time
great observation

And in terms of visibility/exposure, it all falls on how much the label is willing to shell out in order for the records to get mass placement? No wait, isn't that payola
I'm conspiracy-d out at this point 😂
As a huge drake fan. This past year has been my personal hell.
some people really need to take a break. Once i respected kendrick fans but now they are nothing but bullies. Its sad to see.
Well he did sue them
This is my point. Like I don’t think there’s a conspiracy, but the relationship between Drake and Spotify isn’t as great as it used to be either lol.

Rabbit got the gun type beat. It's just a phase

On kworb (again not sure how reliable) he had 6978 points on AM, 2096 on Spotify a few days after FATD (3.3x difference)
With this he has 4950 on AM, 661 on Spotify (7.4x difference)
https://kworb.net/itunes/
It's R&B and FATD is rap. Genre is kinda local, like Country.
Those points are calc'd by how many countries a song/album is currently charting in which is going to be low because of the genre.
