its interesting that the promise of soundcloud era being the next big thing is finally actually reaching fruition almost 10 years later
It's one guy
This is the same account Kendrick stans claimed was a drake stan 🗿
lol yeah its not a stan account they run talkofthecharts, impartial to both sides
It's one guy
agreed if the opium guys were ever gonna pop off they would have done it a long time ago
anyway there’s no way that carti is only getting 2 songs in the top 15 with 400 million streams, doesn’t add up at all

they already hit that point though which i feel the numbers are in league with the average of acts that blow up and stick around long term
uzi just fell off and the rest died so that just leaves carti

A couple SoundCloud guys had their own runs but that's exactly what they were, just lil runs
Carti building bigger than most of that tho
Youre just a terrible user nothing more

They removed 750k sales purposefully too
does updating your projection mean your previous one was a "lie"?
obviously not being literal

That’s what happens when you drop a heavily anticipated album and put 30 songs on it
they already hit that point though which i feel the numbers are in league with the average of acts that blow up and stick around long term
uzi just fell off and the rest died so that just leaves carti
i get what you're saying but uzi, at his peak especially, is much more accessible/palatable for the average consumer, and while he had a great first week with eternal atake he was also one among a lot of young artists who were dropping during covid and doing star numbers, whether it was emo rap like juice wrld, pop smoke drill, or rod wave/youngboy "pain music"
in comparison, music really sounds "alternative", aside from the weeknd and thug songs it's not making any concessions to appeal to a wide audience, and yet it's looking to be the best selling rap album of the year so far (and i can't see any other release surpassing it tbh)
putting up the same kind of numbers as drake and kendrick after them being everywhere in the media for the last year cuz of their battle is insanely impressive, really feels like a vibe shift

How many pure sales carti got?
He beat HDD.
https://twitter.com/behzad_hudson/status/1900938395301327140Bruh...
Can pure sales still be included?
The only ones that will count are the digital sales
how every album with 400 million US stream debuts faired on the hot 100
beerbongs & bentleys - 3 songs in the top 10 of the hot 100
scorpion - 7 songs in the top 10
carter v - 4 songs in the top 10
eternal atake - 3 songs in the top 10
legends never die - 5 songs in the top 10
CLB - 9 songs in the top 10
her loss - 8 songs in the top 10
midnights - 10 songs in the top 10
SOS - 2 songs in the top 10
one thing at a time - 5 songs in the top 10
for all the dogs - 7 songs in the top 10
tortured poets - 14/14
music - 2 songs in the top 15?
I’m pretty sure that 300K prediction is with only streaming counted. So it’s very possible he clears 350K+ if the digital sales are strong enough
He beat HDD.
https://twitter.com/behzad_hudson/status/1900938395301327140he lowered his projections significantly the following day
edit: bruh really deleted the follow up tweet
He beat HDD.
https://twitter.com/behzad_hudson/status/1900938395301327140this'll make people mad but how the f*** can CArti do these types of numbers but the weeknd doesn't even get half of them?
this isnt even a weeknd hate post, i seriously don't understand any of it
opm babi (which i actually love) vs the mainstream sound of HUT. i genuinely don't get it
carti couldnt even sell out an arena tour in like 2022
