You're really comparing these two?
Carti was never gone unlike Frank loool he was releasing songs on IG and YouTube, was performing constantly and had multiple hits in the last 2 years
Fax Carti has headlined Rolling Loud 47 times since Frank last dropped
Carti suffered no damage because he wasn't gone at all in these 4.5 years.
Kendrick suffered damage with Morale because he vanished without saying anything for years and the album wasn't commercial enough too
Frank is almost gone for a decade, the last time we really heard from him was 2023 with his weird Coachella performance and before that he was gone for years too without saying s***
Stuff like this will cause a damage these days. Rihanna will have the same problem (if she ever drops something)
@Mafia_boss was spending all week saying it didn’t hold
it didnt...
It had higher first day streams in US then albums that had better first weeks...
This beef needs to end and be over with. S*** is turning into a dark cloud on hip hop. Every major moment is connected to it. Every artist has to pick a side and it's causing a lot of bad energy.
Hopefully once the tour is over, s*** is over. Kendrick steps away for a while and drops a great concept album and Drake raps inspired again.
At some point maybe this year pg langs focus should be baby keems sophmore
At this point its too late, people moved on
Nah his new snippet was making a lot of noise

It really didn’t outside of Twitter lol

Frank got the whole mysterious vibe in general it works for him to be lowkey.
He could very well come back and do great numbers.
R&B acts who are lowkey and well acclaimed like D’Angelo & Sade dipped for a decade then came back and did huge numbers. And this was pre-streaming which I feel was way more harsher with long breaks and even the biggest stars would fall off with a few year break

i'm comparing them because we live in a culture that is stuck and struggles profoundly to move on from anything ever. if you were popular and respected in the 2010s, your relevancy is secured for the foreseeable future. it doesn't matter how long you leave your fans waiting.
frank is a unique case because he really did just disappear post-COVID, but i heavily doubt it has affected his commercial prospects at all. millennials aren't just going to "move on" from him, they are gonna keep waiting for that blonde follow up regardless of if it's coming or not.
F*** GNX, will Drakes's next solo be able to outsell MUSIC?

I will wait until the day I die
An album with Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Young Thug collaborations being the most weirdest album to ever be successful?
man shut the f*** up LMAO
Haven't seen KTT criticize it for being such. They usually can't stop talking down on tik-tok bait from rappers
That song has been getting nothing but hate on here lmao what
It all depends on the promo he's going to do with his next album. It would for sure do 300k+ first week but people would overestimate the sales just like they did with Kendrick with Morale
Lowkey feel like it would be as much of a moment as Carter V. Everybody and their mother will want to listen to it when it comes out. He’s become much bigger since 2016 I feel like, he’s truly a mainstream artist now. Plus his fanbase is the biggest merch buyers in the entire music industry apart from Taylor. I’ll think if he’d drop it this year the album would be huge, if he waits another 5 years thi the youth wouldn’t know him anymore so then it might be over. I think he clears 500k if the album is good and is relatively commercially friendly.

You forgot to mention that Kendrick’s album also was a disappointment to most people and didn’t have any hits compared to his latest album.
Playboi Carti (8k units less), Lady Gaga (7k units less) and Kendrick Lamar (8k less) all finished with fewer units than HDD previously projected.

Not saying he wont do great numbers but I'm pretty sure people here are going to say he will do 500k first week which isn't going to happen

"the album wasn't commercial enough too"
It's literally in my post

Here we go
First person that says he will do 500k lmao he wont
You forgot to mention that Kendrick’s album also was a disappointment to most people and didn’t have any hits compared to his latest album.
yeah mr. morale debuted with huge numbers, it just fell off immensely throughout the course of the first week. the wait didn't hurt kendrick at all, it was people not liking the album that much.
