nothing wrong with chart watching or being nerdy about stuff like that. it can be fun studying trends in the music industry and how the public's taste changes over time.

it's only really an issue if you care so much that you're spending $200 buying five variants of an album out of fear that your favorite artist will flop. it's never really that serious, at least not to me.

There’s nothing wrong with it if you have a genuine interest in the business side of the music industry.
