You guys weren't saying Nav rules?

  • Apr 8, 2025

    Nav: lost
Whoever at the label schemed: lost

    Billboard: FBI level

  • Apr 8, 2025

HDD’s final projections for HUT were 450K

The final Billboard numbers were 490K

You really tryna tell me Billboard didn’t catch these “fake sales” if an extra 40K were reported over the final projection?

Yeah I’m sure they pulled out a Mission Impossible team of sleuths to crack down Nav’s numbers but fell asleep behind the wheel when it was time to count Weeknd’s

Imagine waking up in the morning and checking Navs album sales

Not just checking his sales but going on kworb to check the streams per track and comparing his physical to stream ratios to other artists. And don’t forget you’re doing my all this because Nav happens to be signed to a guy who Drake dislikes

So The Weeknd knows but whoever at UMG is overseeing Nav wouldn’t know? Do you hear yourself?

The sales were faked. UMG obviously wouldn’t likely encourage or knowingly sign off on faking sales.

This would mean an artist team or individual did it on their own accord.

I don’t think NAV was doing it by himself.

If it was people on his direct team, they are likely also people on Weeknd’s team since they quite literally have a partnership for his releases

Do you honestly truly believe with 100% certainty that NAV just magically put together all them fake sales on his own time? And didn’t have a team or connects?

It’s not far fetched that XO Records as an entity/team had some involvement in pushing his first week… that’s a labels job.

XO Records literally is basically only The Weeknd & NAV on their roster. It’s not even a big label with dozens of artists. It is very likely they both share most of the same team.

I can get why you don’t want to believe Weeknd or XO Records was involved. However you trying to push it as a fact they just could not have been involved isn’t really verifiable and can easily be questioned

This would be different if the Weeknd had a situation like Drake did. Drake has OVO Sound, a label he co-owns, and they run their operations with Santa Anna Label Group but he himself has a licensing deal with UMG via a label that only works his own music, OVO.

If OVO Sound is cooking the numbers for their artists, one could claim Drake has no knowledge of that because its very plausible since he doesn't release his own solo music via OVO Sound.

With the Weeknd, it's different. All his solo music is released via XO and marketed/distributed by UMG. Nav also releases his music via XO. It's not hard for anyone with common sense to understand why its easy to make a case of tying his latest shenanigans back to the Weeknd and particularly to the XO record label, which has always worked for the Weeknd.

Also, using "if the Weeknd also faked sales, Billboard would have filtered it out" is a very weak argument when their new policies to hammer down much harder on filtering only kicked in recently, weeks after The Weeknd's latest album dropped.

Also UMG 100% is directly involved with The Weeknd releases. If you’re saying that HUT sales were fake, then they were definitely involved

They make it so obvious too

Imagine we were keeping track of Baka’s sales

Nav’s album released before these new policies were implemented btw. HUT and OMW2 Rexdale were both released under the same Billboard sales policies
