Most daily streams yesterday:
Drake 48m
Weeknd 44m
Kendrick 37m
Didn't expect the gap to be this big again after seeing Luther pop off
Niggas clutching onto NLU being bigger but no one wanna talk about that 500M
Drake sold a lot of albums hooray!
This Drake guy sounds pretty darn good.
I’ll check out more of his stuff.

500M is extremely impressive and a great addition to Drake’s argument for being the biggest rapper of all time. Can y’all acknowledge NLU now?
This is how this thread reads

We’ve literally had to head about it for a year straight no one give a f*** about that s*** rn man
It doesn't matter how many albums Drake sold, the biggest moment of his career (his words) was getting his ass whooped by Kendrick in 2024. He'll rap about that L for the rest of his days making music
You really a b**** brah don’t ever fix ur lips to say ur a drake fan ever again and u was p**** to tell me you was at dreamville u f***ing FAIRY
I’d understand if these were your accomplishments you were defending
idk what ur beef is w that user but u sound mad over Kendrick having a bigger song than Drake. Its not that deep
For the life of me i can’t comprehend why your weird ass ever replies to me lol

Sad but true
The anniversary of Drake losing to Kendrick will overshadow literally every Drake accomplishment for the rest of his life
But yay 500 million very cool
Kendrick actually has the first Double Diamond rap song ever and also has another song bigger than any Drake song ever so I think he’s doing just fine!
Reading comprehension (i said more)

Yea but NLU!!!!!
Yea but NLU!!!!!
Well yeah it’s more impressive to have the biggest individual song than it is to have more streams combined when your catalog is much bigger
Reading comprehension (i said more)
Drake has more hit songs than Kendrick
Kendrick has the first Double Diamond rap song ever
Drake has more hit albums than Kendrick
Kendrick has the biggest single song between the two of them in Not Like Us
All four of these things are true
It’s like if someone says “Steph Curry has the most 3 pointers ever” and then someone replies “yeah but LeBron has more points”
…okay? That’s not what tf we talking about
''Prior to the streaming era (from 2009-2015). Drake had a total of about 15m units certified including both albums and singles.''
Lol.
Hotline Bling, Hold On We're Going Home, Headlines, The Motto, Started From The Bottom ALONE were 15m CERTIFIED units before the end of 2015.
You lot just type s*** for fun or you got s***ty sources because you refuse to fact check whatever you read?
My numbers are accurate. Singles streaming units started being counted in 2013 and album units in 2016. Drake’s pre streaming total was around 15m total units. Go check yourself.
For an example, Take Care, released in 2011, sold 2.2m units in the US as of August 2015 (pre-streaming). As of September 2019 (now with streaming included), it sold 6m units. Literally double the sales of the album’s prime/peak era
All thanks to streaming. If Thriller or any other legendary album was given the same opportunity during its prime, we can only imagine the kind of numbers it would do.

Almost like people listen to f***ing music

This facts too, 500M is definitely impressive but we not gonna act like the numbers aren’t extremely inflated (for EVERYONE) because of the streaming era.
I’m sure another few artists will reach 500M in a few years
Almost like people listen to f***ing music
But didn’t listen to music before 2016? Interesting coincidence

Interesting how slow you are

He’s just saying that pre-streaming albums didn’t get the same boost. Thriller didn’t get additional sales every time someone spun the vinyl
Interesting how slow you are
Sorry you’re mad sweetie
