Technically he was right, it didn’t sell out.
That being said, 9.5M of a show and 93% occupancy is fire no matter how you spin it. This looks like the weakest venue also so only upwards from here.

Y’all always say stuff like this as if it isn’t 100% just a pricing thing. Both tours were sold out. SOS sold 807K tickets in 63 shows. Big Steppers sold 929K tickets in 73 shows. Simply saying “SZA’s tour outgrossed Kendrick’s” to imply that it was more successful or more popular is just disingenuous.
Box office amongst these megastar tours has 100000% to do with pricing. It’s not a demand issue. Tyga could announce a stadium show right now and sell the tickets for a dollar and the s*** would be empty
