Remember when clowns itt were saying no one listens to bad bunny in Europe

Stadium Europe says otherwise. @mangotflu you said no bad bunny in spain because you didn’t hear him, I guess 10 BACK to BACK STADIUM dates in Madrid just a fluke

Selling 500k tickets in Madrid in less than an hour is insane.

I listened to the snippets of this Sleep Token band on iTunes. They call themselves Metal but they are basically singing over trap beats.

  • May 14, 2025

You could put The Weeknd over Sleep Tokens instrumentals and it would sound no different. This is not Metal. This is pop music.

Do y’all think Spotify should show how many people/accounts listened to a track instead of just how many total streams it received?

It would more accurately show how big an artist’s fanbase and reach is imo

If its replacing total streams no. As an additional stat sure why not and show streams/listeners by country to.

Interestingly I think that specific stat would quiet a lot of the current arguments we have now. It would be unarguable statistics about how big a specific song is if we know exactly how many people were listening to it.

It’s also something that wouldn’t really be easy to artificially inflate if they set it up the proper way

Someone playing something once doesnt really make it popular. All it show is the reach the song has. As a star by itself it doesnt say much. It would need to be paired with total streams.

Yeah if you talking just US, Taylor “sold” more but globally UVST is the biggest album this decade.

    It wouldn’t be that though.

It would show how many individual users played the song at least once all-time (similar to total streams)

And it would show how many individual users are playing the song on a daily basis (similar to daily streams)

So a six-month-old song could have, let’s say 10M all-time listeners and 2.4M daily listeners

It would absolutely be a useful stat to show how wide an artist’s reach is and help them with touring, after all only one butt can sit in a seat at a venue

CLB selling 5m units in the US without a known hit (by the GP) is disgusting

A certain “timeless hit”, according to some, seems to be missing. Maybe an error?

And you say you're not constantly hating on Drake in here

You've got more Drake hate posts in here in the last 3 months than I have Weeknd posts EVER on the whole forum

DTMF is also a less accessible sound than un verano, it’s an ode to PR, no mega features etc. that being said, it’s a summer album and it’s going to pick up during summer. It’s still the most listened to album across all genres in US this year.

You really think its less accessible?

I think yeah you're right but it's still very accessible. It kinda has the same formula as UVST but it's more focused to PR. UVST had a few songs about PR too

They're hits but pretty small hits for drake

if you made a list of Drake's biggest 30 songs of all time, i don't think knife talk or fair trade make it

Which is why 5m is crazy to me, because normally albums need huge hits to sell that much. Fair Trade/Knife Talk werent huge like that
i don't even think after hours is at 5m yet is it? probably around it

Nah he’s right about that. CLB doesn’t have a major hit whatsoever, unlike most of his other albums (could lowkey include FATD there too). The rest of them do:

Thank Me Later - Over/Find Your Love
    Take Care - Marvins Room/Take Care/The Motto
Nothing Was the Same - Started From the Bottom/Hold On, We’re Going Home
If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late - Energy/Know Yourself
    Views - One Dance
    More Life - Passionfruit (arguable)
Scorpion - shouldn’t even have to say
Dark Lane Demo Tapes - Toosie Slide (arguable)
    Honestly, Nevermind - Jimmy Cooks
    Her Loss - Rich Flex
    $$$4U - NOKIA

It’s why I always said that Knife Talk being the hit from that album is a sign of its quality. Drake hits are always among the best songs on the project

Nah Fair Trade was definitely HUGE. I was hearing this s*** for 2 years all the time lmao. There's a reason why this song has almost 1 billion streams on Spotify

The truth is that CLB was the last really addictive Drake album and people loved the whole album (while it got hate on here lmao). The beef with Ye obviously made CLB bigger also at that time

Lmao it’s really not, it didn’t even chart for 20 weeks (17 weeks total)

Knife Talk is easily the biggest song on that album (charted for 29 weeks)

I think the song just got streamed a ton because Travis is on it, but the GP barely knows that song
