GNX is an anomaly. It's off of Kendrick winning a high-profile and getting the most publicity he's ever gotten. It's his most successful album so far. He won't have that perform storm of events the next time he drops an album.

DAMN spent 4 weeks at #1, 23 weeks in the top 5 and 35 weeks in the top 10. GNX so far has spent 3 weeks at #1, 26 weeks in the top 5 and 30 weeks in the top 10 and will very likely end up spending more weeks in the top 10 than DAMN ever did.

The only thing left to see is if it ages as well as DAMN did. If that happens (which I believe it will), it'll 100% become his biggest album ever and it'll achieve that even quicker than DAMN did.

It's stupid to act like Drake/the beef didn't benefit Kendrick and the success he's enjoying now. That man was cold as ice after dropping the Mr. Morale album. Nothing was sticking or working commercially and it wasn't because of a lack of trying on his part. All I'm saying is that the perfect storm of events that led to him enjoying the success he'd never seen in his career before now won't be there the next time he drops an album. I don't think that's unreasonable to say.

He has the longest charting rap album of all time in GKMC, and DAMN. has some of the biggest rap singles ever released and was a commercial blockbuster. That’s not even mentioning the Black Panther Soundtrack which was successful as well and spawned a major single.

When Kendrick chooses to go commercial, he’s one of the biggest artists on the planet.

One time is a fluke. Two times is luck. Three times and beyond is undeniable.
