It came out at midnight sharp on a Friday night. Besides, we’ve seen plenty of artists drop at unconventional times recently and still do big commercially:
- CHROMAKOPIA released on a Monday at 6AM
- GNX surprise dropped on a Friday at 12PM
- Bad Bunny dropped DTMF on a Sunday
- MUSIC finally dropped at 8AM on a Friday after a night’s worth of silence
All of those releases had varying levels of commercial success. Drake dropping a single at midnight on a Saturday don’t mean he “doesn’t care about numbers” lmao, release days are just way more fluid now
