Even buying a vinyl in today's day and age doesn't mean you're gonna listen to the music
Let's do a poll on how many of them never unwrap the vinyl or play it
people dont even listen to the digital downloads lmao

I agree with you but if there was one fanbase I would say is likely to actually listen to their vinyl it would be Tyler fans
I have at least a dozen vinyls and have never opened any of them
You bought the music but never consumed it
Technically you're a consumer but it wasn't for the music

I can agree with you, they're probably closer to the top

What a waste

This is a weird barometer, it’s not even wholly true either
No other industry gets judged by how many times you use something after purchasing it. You buy it, it’s a sale, it ends there
Plenty of people buy movies and never watch them, buy books and never crack them open, etc.
And plenty of people do the opposite, it’s just a thing that exists. Not sure why music fans feel the need to single out physical music media being somehow fraudulent
Weakest charts in decades and a new Drake song heavily promoted can’t even go number 1 on Apple Music day of release vs a 3 month old Morgan wallen song (blacklisted artist the entire music industry is against) 💔
Why isnt YouTube used as the most accurate metric to check an artists recurring listeners?
YouTube is a bigger more accessible platform than the likes of Spotify yet it seems Spotify is the only credible platform that has its numbers reported.

Damn Drake sucks
I read somewhere that most people that buy vinyls don't even own a record player

bruno having triple Weeknd/Drake/taylor is hilarious man
Back in like 2020, Youngboy was doubling every other rapper on YT
s***s weird on there. I guess it heavily favors artists with good MVs
Weeknd/Drake/Taylor haven't had a hit mv in like 5+ years at this point
I think buying vinyls is fine, even if you don't play them. It's something actually physically real, buying digitally just doesn't feel as personal. If I were to gift some music fan something, I'd definitely choose something like a vinyl or CD instead of some Spotify or iTunes gift card.

majority of those views are from bots in Philippines and Montana is why they don’t count YouTube as heavily lol

“high class” it’s not deep lol. bro just about every fan from that base type of fan (Frank, Clipse, etc) all have vinyl players and been buying vinyls since high school/college days lol
