The fans choose the drake singles, whoever does the intital radio pushes have NEVER chosen right single TML tb
Ngl...Nokia has to be the most gassed up hit record of all time.
It's good. Don't get me wrong. And it is indeed a viral hit.
But the song ain't even doing the same damage as Rich Baby Daddy, Rich Flex, Knife Talk, Jimmy Cooks, and LNCL from this decade.
Yet niggas here act like it's God's Plan 2.0 or One Dance 2.0 just because it went viral on Tik Tok or is arguably Drake's catchiest club hit this decade aside from RBD.
I don't know if it's the beef that's driving people to overhype it's dominance but, comparatively speaking, even Like This, Carnival, and Houdini from Eminem were streaming at a faster rate than Nokia last year.
Only 380 million Spotify streams in 6 months yet KTT2 gaslit me into thinking that this was Drake's biggest hit since Scorpion. In the words of Mark Morrison "You lieeeeed tooo meeeee!"
Its probably because 100 gigs did absolutely nothing and drake stans aren't used to that so when Nokia was actually getting some type of motion they gassed the hell out of it
Fair Trade should’ve been the first single off CLB (or LNCL should’ve been on the album)
Jimmy Cooks should’ve been the first single off Honestly, Nevermind
Rich Flex was a good choice for Her Loss, but the second single should’ve been Spin Bout U, not Circo Loco
Rich Baby Daddy should’ve been the first single off FATD (or Search & Rescue should’ve just been on the album)

It’s just a coping mechanism because none of the bullshit he’s been shoveling out has stuck
His “big comeback” was supposed to be with that 100gigs bullshit, then they moved it to $$4u and NOKIA was supposed to run the entire year
Now it’s pushed back to Iceman and none of the s*** he’s dropped for that nonsense hasn’t stayed either thus far
It just never ends
If I had a hundred posts in here today and they were all positive posts about Drake, you wouldn’t care. That’s why it’s embarrassing
You don’t actually care about how much I post. You care about what I post
I don’t care what you’re posting today. It’s a s*** ton about Drake, like a crazy s*** ton. Just acknowledging that

Yes and you wouldn’t be acknowledging it if the posts were positive, is the point

Negative posting is a lot crazier than positive posting

Delusional posting is a lot crazier than objective posting

I remember when they chose that don’t matter to me bullshit as one of them scorpion singles

honestly drake has released a lot of songs this decade that would have been smash hits in like 2019
songs like blue green red and hot uptown are just so peak-late 2010's core to me in the best way. wish they were pushed more, but it was directly post-beef so i get it

hot uptown is some 2016-2017 s***
I guarantee there’s a genuine hit record too somewhere on Iceman, yet he chose to go with two commercial stinkers are the first two singles
Idk why him and his team have been so horrendous at choosing singles post-Scorpion. It’s like they used all the black magic in the world to choose the singles for that album
I feel like they missed so many opportunities with CLB for pushing singles.

The snippet he showed after the new song on Iceman sounded deadass INSANE
if that’s not the hit idk what is, beat is f***ing bananas
greatdivine at the bar gettin tipsy!!
I’m hearing what did I miss a lot more now on top 40 radio
The fact it’s still not top 15 is wild to me
Whoa whoa, if it's one thing even the most hardcore drake stans will agree to is some.singles they push are the wrong choice, die trying should have been pushed
Right cause tracks 14-16 being the biggest songs was def not planned. Usually Drake albums top heavy.
Thats actually crazy
oh man this hurts. As a Huge Drake Fan this simply stings
Hate the song so much. They just don’t stop playing that s***
it's crazy how many songs from this decade are gonna be in billboard's all time list despite having considerably smaller cultural impacts than any given hit song from the 2010s, just because they get played a lot on radio.
