In the US only, who cares. Drake is literally the MCU at this point, still doing okay numbers in America, and flopping internationally
this isnt a drag
What y'all on today
Oh, just Fader Magazine suggesting that putting up numbers and being dominant in the US (historically BY FAR the biggest music market) doesn't matter anymore because the Weeknd is no longer dominant in said market.
this isnt a drag
Dude is stupid. He constantly talks down on being successful in the US (because Drake has always been bigger than the Weeknd there and still is) and bigs up being being bigger "globally" when the Weeknd has never had a bigger year statistically than Drake globally either
It's like the US general public completely forgot who The Weeknd is since 2023.
It's like when JT got completely erased in 2017.

What's funny about s***ting on the significance of the US market is that's also BY FAR the Weeknd's biggest market globally.
He has amassed the most streams, sold the most single/album units, made the most money off touring and is a bigger star in the US than anywhere else in the world. The only reason why he's considered a star today is because of his success in the US. Take that away and he's next to nothing.
If Drake's music suddenly stops having impact in the US, I wouldn't jump out and start to say the US doesn't matter. That's just foolishness
Kinda funny how TGD now jumps massively into the The Weeknd topic because she got called out since she was like the only one calling Nokia a "global hit"
Mental illness
Taylor coming
Her fans have been teasing her return for weeks now. Should be expecting her anytime between now and the end of September. Might also be a surprise release.
Definitely his mental illness flaring up because Nokia didn't do nearly enough damage worldwide for anyone to regard it as a worldwide hit.
He's saying that because that's always the narrative he pushes with the Weeknd and anything he does. He's always saying the Weeknd is the biggest artist worldwide, etc.
You literally said it was "ringing off everywhere" and was a massive hit constantly. I don't care, it's a cool song, but you're full of s*** lol

Because it was? It's legit one of the biggest hits in the US this year. Only reason why it didn't do more damage on the US charts is because it didn't have as much radio support as it should have had.
That doesn't mean it was a GLOBAL/WORLDWIDE hit. I never said that because it wasn't.
this song did/didn't do damage
the only damage being done is the damage to my brain each time I come in here crine
you and mov were both saying it'd# be as big lol don't lie
you especially CONSTANTLY defended the rollout
i remember a huge list you made trying to show how the rollout was big
idk why u mad at other users for being wrong about charts. You swore that last s***ty Drake single was gonna go close to #1 and called others “idiots” for disagreeing.
That s*** didn’t even hit top 20

Nobody said it was a worldwide hit but they are trying to run with that narrative because their flawed arguments got exposed. Same with Fader now claiming he never said that HUT wasn't a flop yet there were pages after pages of him fighting for his life trying to claim it was a huge success
