Vlad TV is 90% rappers and then 10% non music celebs that are hip hop adjacent like ex d*** dealers or Athletes or comedians

they also sing though, but because the songs that they sing on don't chart, they aren't pop stars

Whole reason I brought up the pop stars who lean Hip Hop streaming more than Drake was to point something out lol. That the closer artists get to pop music, the more they sell (as long as the music is still good). Some artists go too far to pop and aren’t considered rap anymore.

Drake is probably the best rapper ever at riding that line. He has some great pop songs and has great rap songs. It’s not super surprising that he is selling more like the pop stars than the rappers because of this.

He’s got songs that are kinda poppy (Sad!), but for the most part he was a through and through rapper. Definitely less poppy than Doja/Post/Drake. I think he would have been able to ride that line similarly to Drake.
