His lack of music is exactly why his 2024 was nowhere near the size of those other eras though actually.

Also Mr Morale was only 2 years old, yet none of it was revived, yet taylor/drake had revivals of old albums

No, it’s actually why it’s on par with those runs because he made the level of impact he did while literally releasing a total of seventeen songs

I don’t think you understand how insane that is

Since May 2024, all of the music Kendrick Lamar has officially released:

    1. Not Like Us
    2. wacced out murals
    3. squabble up
    4. luther
    5. man at the garden
    6. hey now
    7. reincarnated
    8. tv off
    9. dodger blue
    10. peekaboo
    11. heart pt. 6
    12. gnx
    13. gloria
    14. 30 for 30
    15. BACKD00RS
    16. GOOD CREDIT
    17. Chains & Whips

To dominate the industry for an entire year and this is your only musical output is absolutely ridiculous. Scorpion alone had more songs than this

golden has a chance to become the first song since kendrick's super bowl week to break 300 points. maybe the closest thing to a legitimate hit that 2025 has produced.

    https://twitter.com/talkofthecharts/status/1957538810805514577

What does it say that the first song to do this from 2025 is also attached to the impact of a smash hit show

I don't understand your point here
    Taylor had 23 songs (Midnights)
Weeknd had 14 with After Hours

Kendrick's also one of the few artists who hasn't had a boost since his tour, actually his music consumption has declined a lot during the tour.

    Tbh I'm also putting Travis's 2018-2019 ish above Kendrick's 2024

and i hate travis way more than kendrick. but I can't deny he's the first rapper that really took collabs super mainstream commercial

Taylor was dropping her Taylor’s Versions around those times so that contributed to her being so big in the zeitgeist at the time.

Kendrick literally just released 17 records and that’s it

Travis's music was more listened to whilst he also was the first rapper ever to get household collabs that literally infiltrated everyone. It's definitely arguable at least.

Not gonna lie, Sabrina 100% had a bigger global 2024 than Kendrick too. Much bigger

Wouldn't surprise me if her units were 2-3x Kendrick's in 2024, whilst releasing less songs than Kendrick

Take Care is only 900k streams from outstreaming GNX each day, so odd

Kendrick came in #9 on the Global List of 2024, Sabrina came in #10

And that’s with Kendrick having only three new songs out for 90% of the year

    No it was not

Travis didn’t even come in on the Top 10 of IFPI in 2018

Seems you're the one cherrypicking now, you normally just post spotify, why aren't you this time? Funny that

    Short n Sweet 8.2b streams, 9m/day
    GNX 3.4b streams, 4.4m/day

    literally double

Emails I Can't Send, which only blew up in 2024, also has 3.9b, and is doing 2.7m/day still

I'm comparing Drake to Kendrick, like you have been, not Radiohead to Drake lol

GNX clearly has longevity issues which for whatever reason, you're ignoring

Nobody’s cherry picking. You said that Sabrina sold 2-3x more units globally than Kendrick did in 2024. I just gave you literal proof that she did not being that she came behind him in the Global IFPI Report of 2024
