It’s like simple math is too complicated for them

Of course someone who drops every 9 months doesn’t drop in streams as much as the guy who drops every 3 years

can any level headed kendrick stan that was obsessed w his numbers these past few months explain to me why 2024s biggest rapper is freefalling numbers wise when it comes to monthly streams/listeners? his hits are still doing great so i really don’t get this, catalogue too flat - i don’t think so… so whats going on here? dude was the super bowl solo main act just 6 months ago and JUST came off a stadium tour, does not make any sense to me

I can but only if you can explain to me why you said you weren't a drake stan and you're objective but all your posts are Drake d***riding

Kendrick is popular, yes, but he doesn’t have the type of catalog that lends itself to a longterm high volume of streams. The guy has 8 projects on streaming and basically only 3 of them are commercially-friendly. 2024 for Kendrick was just arguably the biggest peak we’ve ever seen for a rapper and the Super Bowl show exploded the peak even more, so it looks like his numbers are “freefalling” now but they’re just returning to the normal state that his discography usually sits at

Are they about to do away with publicly reporting the charts?

They haven’t said a word about the delays, seems like an intentional change is coming rather than this just being like a system error of some sort

i think they'd say if they were going to get rid of the charts altogether. it could have something to do with them filtering fake streams, but i wouldn't be surprised if we get the updates and there's nothing out of the ordinary and we never get an explanation for the delay lol.

Drake Stans are a lot like Trump supporters. He can feed them some wild s*** with no proof and they will eat it up.

pure sales are more important now than they've been at any point in the streaming era. sabrina lost 50m streams from her last album (233m --> 184m) but actually managed to gain in overall sales thanks to CDs/vinyls.

Agreed, that’s why that pure sales list someone posted the other day was so interesting to me

Nobody can complain about bots then

We’ve been tryna say this for years man

Pure sales will always be more valuable to artists and I’m glad they’re making a comeback

It's only "arguably the biggest peak" if you're a huge mentally ill drake hater lmao

Not Like Us got outstreamed by a damn LIL TECCA song

I guarantee this album doesnt even make her half the money as short n sweet

theyre literally only more valuable if you're trying to get first week numbers

the list that fader thinks is super accurate

IFPI Top Global Recording Artists of 2024
    1. Taylor Swift
    2. Drake
    3. SEVENTEEN
    4. Billie Eilish
    5. Stray Kids
    6. Zach Bryan
    7. The Weeknd
    8. Eminem
    9. Kendrick Lamar
    10. Sabrina Carpenter

the apparent best peak for a rapper ever is behind Eminem

  • Sep 8, 2025

Man’s Best Friend’s album sales were aided by its availability across 13 vinyl variants (two signed by Carpenter), four CD variants (one signed), two cassette variants, a standard digital download album and a deluxe download edition with a bonus track.
