I feel like Drake has more than played his part in terms of platforming other rappers, a lot more than any of his peers have done. It's not on him to do more.

He definitely has but I’m talking more along the lines of signing someone, doing a ton of collabs with, executive producing their album etc.

Then again you can’t really force it. Maybe no one has come along. Do new rappers even wanna be greats anymore?

the whole thing of everyone losing their minds that there isnt a hip hop song in the billboard top whatever is because this s*** all changed lmfaoooooooo

if streams mattered how they used to yb would be in the billboard charts EASILY. but theres songs up there that are being absolutely spammed to radio basically fake hits brah this is exactly how it was in that EDM era hahaha

Youngboy currently has zero songs in the Top 200 of Global Spotify btw

His highest entry right now on the USA Chart is #103

It’s a little different because her mainstream career basically did not exist until late 2023; everything was a flop.

Youngboy has been successful commercially since 2018 at the latest

Just because it flopped doesn’t mean she wasn’t around. Plus she came from Disney channel

    NRG means Energy

certain shoes that nike released were categorized as that. they're meant to bring energy back into the brand

so if virgil did a shoe nike would make a break down of it

basically drake was the ultimate NRG rapper and now that da world hate him we just confused why the ecosystem isnt what it used 2 be we just need to adjust to da withdrawls

She was a literal unknown to anyone who had never seen Girl Meets World before 2023 though

Youngboy has been known and respected in the rap community since, at the very latest, 2018

Y’all want Billboard to be the scapegoat so bad when really hip-hop is mostly to blame

You're asking the right questions. None of these new guys are even hungry for the crown so that's a non-starter.

It hurts their brain when they see sold out concerts but not super high streams

Like when they said kendrick flopped and was done but the Morale tour was extremely successful

Wait what lol I didn’t know this lore

He likes southern rap. TI, Dolph, Bagg.

Iirc he talked about wanting to collab with Kendrick years ago.

Morgan is just a singer. He isn't even credited as a writer on Last Night. The best Country writers come together and pitch him these songs.

He did say he listens to country a little, and he does have some writing credits, but you get it.

YoungBoy has dropped like 50 albums and Sabrina Carpenter achieved more mainstream success with Short n' Sweet than with anything YoungBoy has dropped. YoungBoy has released 762 songs to Sabrina's 162 songs and she has pulled in more streams than him and is still out-streaming him daily. That answers your question.
