Nah, you just don't want to agree that even though a lot more goes into a VZ battle than popularity, popularity actually is the key variable.

And popularity is very dependent on demographic.

If popularity is the key variable than why did both artists set lists consist of mostly songs that did not have a large presence on the billboard charts

Hits mean different things to different demographic. Most people would say Faneto is a hit but who tf knows what that song charted when it dropped.

Wow a chief keef song from 2014 that has 300 million Spotify streams is a hit. I didn’t know that. Do you ever say anything remotely profound

You’re still wrong. The Gucci/Jeezy numbers were higher in literally every single metric besides one. Again, these numbers are coming directly from Verzuz themselves:

Yeah, you're right. Didn't see those other metrics.

This nigga thinks you have to be a 40 plus nigga raised in the depths of Harlem before you gain entry into the VZ venue.

Whenever the facts don’t line up with their narrative, they just start changing the meaning of words and adding random criteria. A versuz now means a battle of songs with old heads in a New York venue with only black people allowed in. It would be funny if it wasn’t so shameless

That’s literally the main audience for Verzuz, older black millennials

The audience for Verzuz battles are primarily old heads dog what

  • Nov 10, 2025

Almost every single Verzuz battle has been featuring two artists that are from either the 2000s or before

yea verzuz is more of an impact/nostalgia battle than a radio hit battle. Otherwise it would just be a bunch of pop and crossover songs.

I was trying to give you an out.

According to you, popular artists suddenly lose their popularity when they perform deep cuts.

Do you see how stupid you sound?

    GOAT.

I’m not even saying Eminem couldn’t put up a fight with Jay Z. I’m just saying that using charts is the wrong way to go about it.

D*** Ballad is more likely to win him a round than Not Afraid. If you can’t understand that then the whole verzuz thing has been going over your head

These songs weren’t deep cuts though. You need to just quit while you’re already behind
