Harry entering his prime, love to see it
And his three solo albums all sound great, dynamic, and rich with emotional songwriting
How you ranking his albums?
IMO
Self Titled
Harry’s House
Fine Line
They need to fix the streaming sales count tbh, the industry is absolutely f***ing artists rn
If 1500 streams = 1 album sale revenue wise it makes sense to keep it like this.
Charts just show the reality of the current situation and now albums don’t generate most of their revenue in the first weeks like they used to so which in the charts is represented by lower first week numbers but now most of the money is on albums generating streams after launch and having long legs this way.
Before once you bought the album you didn’t generate more revenue related to the album anymore, now day 1 you generate a lot less revenue but you keep generating revenue everytime you listen to the album even if that’s not enoguh for most people to make up for the ‘lost sale’ more people than ever are listening to each album so in the end it balances out and the LTD numbers are not that different between eras.

He's the best pop star out right now from those 3 albums alone
PGLang cooking the numbers? Second time the sales go up after the projections

Or just stop making the end all be all of streaming be equivalent to sales. They’re distinctly different methods of consumption and it’s outdated for the industry to still treat sales like the standard
Keep ‘em separate, there’s no way to make ‘em truly equal cause the consumer intent is so different, even with the whole revenue determination. What I propose would also lend more (rightful) legitimacy to streaming as its own thing beyond “this is just another way to track pure sales”

If they dont ship they wont count fw
Depending on how Olivia delivers next album I could see her joining the short list of 500k+ first week artists

The overtime portion you mentioned does make a lot of sense maybe just pay artists more for streams? As flawed as tidal was at least they were trying in that aspect from what I remember

Personally idgaf about sales in the way KTT does but I 100% agree they need to be two separate categories since they don’t translate 1:1 at all

They 100% do translate. They just messed everything up with getting rid of bundles imo.
